I didn't have to look very hard to see he was crashing. Dean had spent his whole life being whatever everyone else needed him to be. My super big brother. Dad's super soldier. If it was asked, he gave. I could never understand his acceptance of that life, but it was enough for him.
Dad's death had started to open fissures, cracks, that made it easy to see how lost Dean really was. Rivulets of his uncertainty leaking through.
