LbN: Just because :)

People, for some reason, thought that when a pureblood married a Muggle-born, everything turned into a fight or a special learning experience. Incorrect. In Blaise's experience, the marriages usually led to a curious blending of both parties' habits. Case in point: brand loyalty. Blaise would eat anything Hermione cooked, including Muggle food, but specifics were necessary. Currently, he was staring down the jar in his hands. "Hermione!" he called.

"What is it?"

"What's this Jif stuff?"

"It's peanut butter, Blaise."

"It's not our peanut butter."

Hermione came in from the living room, wearing an amused expression. "They were out of Peter Pan. It tastes the same."

"No it doesn't."

"Yes it does."

"No it doesn't. I'll be back in a bit."

"You're seriously about to run around London looking for peanut butter? You do know that it's hard to find in the first place, right?"

"Indeed."

Hermione rolled her eyes and walked back into the living room.

An hour later, Blaise was sitting at the dining room table, conducting an experiment. He'd had no idea that there this many brands of peanut butter, but now that he knew, there was only one thing to do….

"How many peanut butter sandwiches have you had so far?" Hermione asked with a smirk.

"Nine. And nine chocolate cookies with peanut butter."

"Feeling sick yet?"

"Yes."

"Do you have a list ready?"

"In order of taste, from best to worst: Peter Pan, Skippy, Reese's, Peanut Butter & Co., Jif, Goober, Plumpy'nut, Sun Pat, and Squirrel."

"Good to know. And now we have peanut butter to last us three years…."

"All in the name of science," Blaise groaned.

"Of course, dear."
