A/N: Wow, two one shots in a couple of days? This is going pretty well, I think. I've finally decided to pick up my Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone book and start reading it, and when I finished the first chapter I wondered what Dumbledore's thoughts were after he had dropped Harry off at the Dursleys house. I hope you like it, guys. :D *cough*reviewsarelove.*cough*
"Good luck, Harry," he murmured. He turned on his heel and with a swish of his cloak, he was gone.
Albus Dumbledore knew that this child was going down in wizard history. Wizards all over were now celebrating voldemort's defeat, and they would certainly never forget the boy who lived. Harry Potter would be famous.
His name would be written in books, and people will never fail to remember his story. Albus knew that what he did tonight was right. However, a part of him seemed to regret the decision he made.
Yes, Harry was far too young to join the wizard world yet, but was leaving him with those muggles the right thing to do? Professor McGonagall had told him that you couldn't find people that were less like them. Professor McGonagall's words echoed in his mind.
"Dumbledore - you can't. I've been watching them all day. You couldn't find two people who are less like us. And they've got this son - I saw him kicking his mother all the way up the street, screaming for sweets. "
Perhaps he could of found another family to take him in; people who were more like his kind. Dumbledore let a low chuckle escape from his lips - he was just being silly. The Dursley family was all he had left. Of course, Lily and James Potter would have wanted this for their son, no?
Albus had made his way back to Hogwarts, and he was in his office when he heard a few people someone standing at his doorway.
"Dumbledore, nice to see you again. Care to join us in the Great Hall?" Professor McGonagall stood there, along with Professor Snape and a few other wizards.
He smiled and nodded, following them to the Great Hall where wizards from all over came in celebration of voldemorts defeat.
After arriving, he poured himself a glass of whisky and help his cup high.
"To Harry." He said, a slight smile on his face.
"TO HARRY!" The others cheered after him.
