A/N: as usual unfortunetly these characters do not belong to me :( but to J.K. Rowling.
There i was, sitting on one of Gryffindor's benches, sitting next to Harry Potter the chosen one, surrounded by happy faces. I couldn't believe it, Voldemort was dead, and soon I'd see dad.
Putting myself in Harry's shoes and looking at his face I could tell he wanted some rest, after all this was one heck of a day.
"I'd want some peace and quiet, if it were me," I said, giving him an escape.
"I'd love some," Harry replied.
"I'll distract them all, use your cloak." I told him, but before he could reply I shouted.
"Oooh, look, a Blibbering Humdinger!" and I pointed out of the nearest window. And of course everyone who heard looked around, while Harry slipped on his cloak.
"Oh my bad, it was just a bug." Laughing I turned back around and found Dean sitting across from me.
"Hey, I want to show you something." He smiled down at me, and held out his hand. Taking it and jumped over the table, and he lead me outside into the grounds.
And outside in full view were the Thestrals. They were beautiful, blending into the scenery around them. Finally at peace.
Gasping I realized I had tears in my eyes. At last these creatures had the home they deserved. Turning back to Dean my emotions were too much and I wrapped my arms around his neck pulling myself against him.
After a while Dean toke my chin into his hand and brought my face up, looking into my eyes.
"Luna," his eyes were filled with an emotion I couldn't identify. "Can…can I," he breathed out and shut his eyes.
"Yes." He opened his eyes in shock and grinned.
And weaving one of his hands into my long blonde hair leaned down and kissed me.
The kiss was indescribable. It was brilliant, my first kiss. Ginny had told me it was like nothing you could describe and she was right.
My heart was hammering out of my chest. I felt electrified from the top of my head to my toes; it warmed my body all over. I couldn't believe what I had been missing all these years.
And as suddenly as it had started, it ended. Pulling away from each other we tried to catch our breaths.
Smiling at each other we sat down on the steps of Hogwarts School. He leaned closer again and brushed some pieces of blonde hair out of my face.
"Well, would you like to go on a date sometime?" he smiled at me.
And I laughed the most carefree laugh I had ever had. At last the world was stable again, there would be no more fighting.
It was finally feeling like a happily ever after. Life was good.
