Future!Fic based on XChemicalXFallXPanicX's and my canon. I wrote this sometime ago, just found it again. Product of a very slow day at work and nothing else to do...and an abundance of receipt paper to write on. XD Just a quick little thing.
Also, I'm working on my first chapter fic in over four years. o.o It won't be posted for a while, but I might put up the prologue sometime in the near future just to see what the reaction might be. I want to complete it first, though. So be on the look out for that! :D
Warning...pure, sugary, cavity inducing fluff ahead...you've been warned...
"I love you, Kendall." Logan gasped out with wide-eyes, staring into his best friend's impassive face with trepidation. His heart was beating so hard and fast, he just knew the other boy could hear it.
Logan held his breath as Kendall's expression continued to remain casual. He should be doing something by now, reacting in some way to the completely homosexual confession that was just dumped on him.
Kendall's adam's apple bobbed quickly. "I know." He rasped out, his voice husky and deep, as if he hadn't used it in days.
"Wha-" Logan's eyes got impossibly wider at the response. Maybe he didn't get it? "No, Kendall. I mean I am in love with you." He almost whispered, beginning to feel the pressure bearing down on him.
Then Kendall smiled. That genuine, heart-warming smile that had been haunting Logan's dreams for the full four years they had known each other.
"I know, Logie." He said, reaching a hand up to run it through the brunette's spiky locks. Logan closed his eyes at the affectionate contact that had always seemed to define their relationship.
"I knew from the moment you looked up from your schedule that first day in Morris' class that you'd be mine." One side of his lips turned down in a perfect imitation of Logan's half-smile. Then he scratched the back of his neck sheepishly. "I just didn't want you to think I was crazy."
Logan chuckled, his entire being relaxing with his relief. "Too late for that." Kendall smiled, once again lighting up Logan's world and barked out a laugh. Then he went quiet again, his hand still playing with the hairs on the nape of the shorter boy's neck.
"I love you, too, Logan." He said after a moment, his voice dropping back down to that rasp that sent a tingle down Logan's spine. "Now come here."
And then their lips were colliding with sparks and four years of pent-up passion. And everything was finally as it should have been so long ago.
