AN: Sorry everyone, it has been a hectic time since I last wrote. College, work and all that happiness. I hope I do not disappoint!
"Isn't it a little late to be wandering the halls?" that voice echoed through the corridor.
"Are you really that scared?" it asked.
"No. Come out so I can see you," I said shaking as a looming shadow walked out from behind of a statue.
"Good evening Miss Granger," Snape stated quietly.
"Professor? Why are you hiding behind a statue in the dark? Are you following me?" I asked, maneuvering so that I could run at a moment's notice.
"I am. I began to piece together what you said during detention with your accident. I have to let you know, it was not me. There are ingredients missing from my stores. Boomslang skin. Lacewing Flies. Who ever assaulted you has been brewing Polyjuice Potion and I am taking it upon myself to catch the criminal responsible. Do not think I will treat you any differently, I am merely trying to find the person that is forcing me to replenish my stores more often than necessary."
I was speechless. Why would he care when he's been such a greasy bat all these years?
A few silent moments passed, us staring at eachother. I nearly fell when he broke the silence with a cruel, barking laugh.
"I, of course, am lying. Boody hell, why would I care about a stupid Mudblood like you? Now, I'd like to finish what I started in the Library and since you were so polite as to go to the Room of Requirement, I can do this properly," he said as a venomous grin split across his cold, pale face.
I instantly knew this was not Snape, this imposter used words that Snape would ever use.
"I know who you are," I said, drawing my wand. "And I will report you."
"No, you won't. Petrificus totalus."
My body went rigid and fell to the floor. Now I know how Neville felt first year.
I didn't rise.
"Dammit. Oh well, I'll just drag you.'
He lifted my feet and began to drag me down the hall to the Room. It was silent in the hall except the occasional "pffft" of my body on the carpet. Inside, I was screaming.
"Going somewhere?" a voice rang through the silence.
"Detention, Malfoy. You aren't supposed to be out this late," Pseudo-Snape drawled.
"I know, but you see, I brought reinforcements," Malfoy smirked in the darkness.
"Good evening," a dark figure emerged from the abyss. "You are breaking numerous rules and are going to be expelled for such treachery."
"Let's shed some light on the subject," Malfoy smiled. "Lumos."
I was still half on the floor with my feet in the air while all this is taking place. All I can think of is how thick Malfoy and the real Snape really are. This guy can run at any moment. Not that he would make it far.
The man holding my feet was instantly tied with ropes and my feet hit the floor with a thud. Ow.
Malfoy muttered the counter-curse and I felt my body relax with mobility. I sat up and felt my hair. It was enormous and had a huge knot on the back of my head. Standing up, the world spun, but Malfoy caught me before I fell.
"Professor, I know who this is. It is R-"
"NO!" cried the bound person.
"It is alright, Miss Granger, the Potion should be wearing off shortly. Then we will know the culprit."
Moments later, his hair began lightening, turning an odd color in the light of Malfoy's wand. He shortened and the hair lengthened and there standing before the three, was a shock to all.
"I'm sorry, I just always liked you and I knew you wouldn't ever see me as anything but a nuisance. I didn't know what else to do," the person cried, tears running down a soft, round face onto Snape's stolen robes that were never meant to be worn by a female.
AN: Plot twist. Sorry, it's been a long time since I had written anything so It's not as good as it should be. Rather quite shallow, but I actually don't like this story much. I may discontinue it. What do you think?
