For those of you who don't know me I am Alice Brandon, Bella's best friend from the age of 8, when we introduced because of our mutual love for "I Love You, Always Forever" by Donna Lewis. And since then she has been more than a best friend, to quote Grey's anatomy she has been my "person." The one I would trust to help me drag a dead body around the living room, and keep the secret. I don't think I would be the person I am today, if she hadn't been a part of my life since the beginning.

Before I begin I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Swans, Charlie and Renee, for inviting us all to be apart of this day and sharing this with us all. And I would personally like to thank you both for not only including me in today's festivities, but for embracing me as one of your own for the past 16 years. Some people don't even have one family to love them, I have been blessed with two. Thank You.

So as I said earlier I have known Bella for sixteen years now, and as long as I have known Bella, there has always been a strict "No Cheese Zone" enforced. Excessive of PDA, cutsie pet names, and all things lovey-dovey were frowned upon. While I had my nose buried in Austen and Bronte novels, Bella was reading Harry Potter and Harlan Coben novels. Whenever she sees a Nicholas Sparks novel, she always turns to me and says "aren't THOSE the novels you read?" with a sneer on her face. It would take hours of arm twisting to get her to come to a chick-flick with me, and even then she would sit next to me arms crossed scoffing and rollig her eyes. But then, Bella met Edward…and nothing changed. Bella's first Valentine's day card to Edward was a post-it note, though to her credit I believe it was pink.

And that is what love really is. You don't change yourself for love, and love doesn't change you into a different transcendent person. If you are lucky you find that one person who loves you just as you are and who makes you love yourself just a little bit more because of all the wonderful things they see in you.

And as I have watched Bella and Edward together, I know that is exactly what they have. They love each other just as they are and become better versions of themselves when they are together. And there is nothing more I could want for my best friend, for she has found happiness love, and acceptance in Edward. And she has given him the exact same in return. And I couldn't be happier for the two of them.

I heard this quote by Jim Morrison a while ago and I thought that it would not only fit perfectly for my friendship with Bella but for the love between Lauren and John. "A friend is someone who gives you total freedom to be yourself and especially to feel or not feel. Whatever you happen to be feeling at any moment is fine with them. That's what real love amounts to – letting a person be what he really is."

So here is to Bella, Edward, Friendship and Love.
