(A:N Long Oneshot is LONG, so prepare to read lots of Bade 3 PS. We need to kill Bori with Fire, cause seriously, it's boring and cliche as hell. This was going to start as a 2 or maybe three page one shot, but the next thing I knew, I had written over six pages! Which is alot for me for a oneshot. So, my take on how they met, sorry if Jade's a little OCC. Enjoy :) )
"Sorry kid, but we don't sell cigarettes to anyone under 21." The cashier said. "You shouldn't smoke anyway kid, what are you? Like 14?" He continued to talk as I slammed the cigarette box on the counter and thumped angrily out of the drugstore.
Who the hell did he think he was to tell me what am I suppose to do and what not to do?
Angrily peddling to the street up in the corner, it begins to rain. "Shit." I curse to myself as I peddled under the pounding rain, the pounding cold rain. I zip up my black jacket and keep peddling until I've found some shelter, I can feel the make up running down my pale cheeks and my hair was loosing it volume. With one hand still on the bike, I fix my Paramore beanie in place. Mother nature keeps pounding rain on me like I'm some May flower begging for water.
This probably what I get for running away from home and trying to buy some smokes.
The reason why I was running away from home was because I had gotten into a huge fight with my parents, because neither of them wanted to pay the school I could have been attending.
Hollywood Arts; a school for talented, young teenagers with great skills at either acting, singing, dancing etc. A teacher saw me one night singing on a table, it was my friend Raven;s birthday and they convinced me to sing a favorite song of hers. The teacher saw me, asked for my name and adress and a week later, I recieved an invite to join Hollywood Arts academic facility. My parents were thrilled!...until they saw how much they had to pay.
"No buts, Jadelyn. The fee is WAY to much, we cannot afford it." My mother had shouted, but I knew it was a lie, a huge, big ol' fat lie, we had plenty of money to take me their, she just didn't want to waste it all on her useless excuse for a daughter.
What good did it make anyway? Dad got laid out of his job, again, for passing all the time either sleeping or semi-sleeping because of the late nights he spends drinking. Mommy and Daddy never talked anymore. They don't give each other kisses they way they did every morning, Daddy doesn't look me in the eye anymore because he says I remind him to much of Jocelyn, my mother. They act as if they haven't ever been married and it breaks my heart.
He spends all his time drinking and she spends all her time smoking, my mother wasn't the same pale skinned, blue eyed blond, she was paler, her blue eyes were ringed with red rings underneath and her skin was shaking every time she wasn't smoking...Dad came more late than usual lately, not smelling of alcohol, but of perfume...was Dad cheating on Mom?
I found shelter in a bus stand, shaking my very wet hair, I sit down and place the bike aside. The bus came and I decided to hop in, whoever wants my rusty, old, red bike can have it.
I walk on the buss and most of the seats are taken, except one on the far end of the bus, theirs a guy their, a rather handsome guy, with long black hair and tanned skin, he was kind of cute, he was wearing headphone, music very loud, I tapped his shoulder.
"Hey, dude, this seat taken?"
He unplugs his earphones and stares at me with big chocolate brown eyes.
She stares into me with two icy blue orbs called eyes.
"Dude, is this seat taken or not?" She asks, angrily this time, I put my bag down on the floor.
"No, you can sit." I said, smiling.
"Thanks." She says as she sits beside me and starts to rub her hands down her arms, I noticed that she's shivering. The slumps back on the seat, hugging herself for warmth. I, without noticing, take off my gray jacket and placed it over her shoulders.
"What the hell, man?" She says, anger didn't ride her words, confussion did.
"I noticed you were shivering and the fact that your soaking wet doesn't help either." I said as I rubbed her arms, her face softened, color rose to her pale cheeks. "My name's Beck, yours?"
She rose an eyebrow, as if wondering if she should say her name. "Jade, my name's Jade."
I smiled. She was very pretty, beside the fact that she had make up running down her cheeks and her hair was soaking wet. Noticing that I was looking at her eyes, she wiped the make up away, then gave me a dirty look, she turned around and spoke one last time.
"Thanks for the jacket, Beck." She said, and from looking at the reflection the bus pole gave me, I think I saw her smile.
I smile at myself. I placed the earphones back and closed my eyes.
Later that Evening.
I woke up due to a man's voice.
"Hey, Hey kid, you gotta get off." The bus driver shook me awake. "I have to go, my shift's over, you better walk to where your heading and take your girlfriend with you."
I blinked, my eyes getting adjusted from the lights and the words that came from his mouth tumbled into my head. I look to my left and Jade is sleeping, with her head on my shoulder.
"Um, she isn't my girlfriend, but that's okay, we'll leave immediatly." I said as he just nodded and exited the bus. I looked at Jade, she looked so peaceful sleeping there, like if she hasn't gotten a good sleep in days, sighing, I started to shake her gently. "Jade, Jade, wake up."
She flutters her eyes open. "Where am I?"
"We're in the bus and I think we stayed too long, we have to walk to where we were heading." I say, expecting an angry shout of denial, she just rolls her eyes and angrily stands up, shrugging my jacket off and giving it to me.
"That's okay, I had no where to go anyway." She says as she goes out the bus, I run after her, taking my bag with me, I grab her by the wrist. "Hey, man, WATCH IT!" she angrily shouts.
Ignoring this comment, I proceed. 'What do you mean you have nowhere to go?"
"None of your business, boy, now let me go." She said as she yanked off her arm from my hand, I follow her.
"Jade, please tell me, it's really dangerous for you to be walking these streets at night."
"I don't need your protection or your pity, Beck." She says as she walks faster away from me, I followed her still.
"Your a 'run-away-from-home' type, aren't you?" I said, the silence was a dead give away. "Where do you plan on staying the night?" I asked.
'I don't know, the park?" She said, but mother nature objected as she sent another enormous rain shower down on Los Angeles, she sighed.
"Come on. I don't live that far." I said as we walked to my house, we entered from the back to my RV. "Look, I'll sleep in my house tonight, I'll tell my parents I got a rat problem or something, you sleep here, ok?" I said as I entered her to my RV, giving her no chance to protest. I went into my house and looked for some clothes. "These are my mom'sold clothes, they may be big on you, but it'll keep you warm for the night, I'll wash and dry your clothes for you." I said. "Go take a shower, please."
She took a shower in the RV and changed to my mom's big white shirt and short black pants on. She smiled and hugged me. 'Beck, not enough words I can say to explain my grattitude."
"Just a simple 'Thank You' would do." I said as she climbed into my bed and sighed.
"If you ever tell anyone about this, I'll have to kill you, got it?"
I laughed as I exited the RV, slowly turning off the light. "Got it, 'Night, Jade."
I woke up to Beck slowly putting his shirt on and I looked over his chest, I swear, I had to bit my lip to not get drool all over his sheets.
"Sleep good?" He asked me, I nodded.
"Where you going?"
"It's Monday, teenagers usually go to school on Monday's." He said as he put on a gray shirt and over it a black open buttoned shirt. "Want me to walk you to school, I don't mind if I go a lil bit late." He smiled.
"Oh, I don't go to school, they expelled me." I said, closing my eyes and remembering why I got kicked out of school.
"Seriously? What happened?" Okay, as cute and hot this guy is, he's really intruding. But he is giving me shelter for now, so the least I can do is explain.
"I got into a fight with a girl named Maria Campbell, I knocked her teeth out...and kinda yanked a part of her hair out." I said as I flushed in embarresment. I usually don't do this, but he made me feel so...good and what I just told him wasn't very good at all.
He looked at me wide eyed. "I'm sure you had a pretty good reason, Jade. You don't seem like the kind of person to get in a fight for shits and giggles."
I smiled, suddenly feeling good again.
"I have to go, but I'll be back soon,'k? The only person who comes here is Consuela to clean, just tell her you are a friend. She won't remember later anyway." He kissed my cheek. (!) "Bye."
"Bye." He said as he exited the RV and left me alone.
For the first time in my life I found Sikowitz's class...boring.
It was probably because I wasn't paying attention; my thought were focused in the feisty brunette that was in my RV right now, probably looking through my stuff to keep herself entertained, not that I minded, I have no secrets to hide.
'Beck," My friend Cat said in her useful cheery tone. I once had a crush on her, but that was just that a crush. "Me, Andre and Robbie are going out for lunch, wanna come?"
I thought about it, then remembered I could have lunch in home and quickly return.
"No thanks, Cat, next time, 'k?" I said as she smiled.
"Ok." She said as she skipped out of the classroom, I found myself alone in the classroom, still thinking about the brunette with the really blue eyes.
I walked- well, more like ran home.
I entered my RV to find Jade, kneeling on my bed...with a sharp knife close to her wrist, tears were running down her cheeks. My heart racing and without thinking I pushed the knife away and gathered her in my arms.
"Jade, Jade, Jade," I found myself whispering her name over and over again, like a prayer, as she wailed on my chest. "Don't scare me like that again, Jade."
In a few minutes, her crying seized and she had seperated from me, she drew her knees up and rested her chin their, as if ashamed.
"I-I can't believe you saw that..." She said, trying to regain her tough girl image. "Don't tell anyone or-"
"You'll kill me, I know." I said as I sat closer to her, she didn't scoot away. "Why'd you do that, Jade?" I said as I took her wrist into my hand and saw where she was about to cut.
"My life isn't going so well..." She said as she lowered her gaze. "If I tell you everything, would you swear not to tell anyone?"
Then she told me, about how her mother and father fight all the time, about how her father hates her, about how her mother nearly talks to her anymore, about how her father is cheating on her mother, about her mothers addiction to cigarrettes and about her own addiction to them too.
"-and then I got an invitation to Hollywood Arts-"
"Hollywood Arts?" I said, it sounded more like a question though.
"Yeah, it's this really cool school where talented kids go and-"
"Yeah, babe, I know, it's where I go to school."
"Yep." I said, I saw a smile in her lips.
"Lucky you, mom doesn't wanna let me go because she has to pay way too much."
She looks down. "I wish I could help you, Jade." I said as I hugged her. She let herself get hugged, which suprised me a little. "I really wish I could." Without thinking, I kissed her forehead. She smiled.
"Go to school, Beck. You'll get suspended."
"You better be in one piece when I get back."
I said as I kissed her forehead again and left.
Later that Day.
I entered my RV and found my mom's clothes folded, my bed neatly placed, and a note on top of the clothes...but no Jade. I picked the note up.
I can't thank you enough for eveything you've done for me.
I got a call from my mom, since I was missing a few days
she finaly noticed I was gone and called me.
She said she was willing to settle a negotiation with me to get into
Hollywood Arts, that all I have to do is go home and have a decent
talk with her. I would love to say that I left you your room all neat
and tidy but Consuela did that, she's really good and nice person, don't lose her/.
PS. I guess I'll see you at Hollywood Arts then.
PSS. I left you my number in case you need it.
PSSS. Once again, Thank you for everything, Beck.
Dialing the phone on my cell phone and hitting 'Save', I gently folded the note and placed it near my desk, after a quick shower and doing my homework, I found myself lying softly in my bed.
Still thinking about the pale, mysterious, tough, brunette with the really, REALLY blue eyes, I smiled. "Jade," I say her name one last time before closing my eyes. "My heart is yours."
