A/N: Hey guys, this is another solo story(; Hope you guys like it!
Summary: Alice's life before she got changed.
Disclaimer: I do not own Alice, sadly, and Twilight, and anything else that's recognizable.
"I'm not going to hurt you," the man said. Two more moved closer to me. They had a huge needle in their hands.
I shook my head. "No!" I said, my eyes widening. My head whipped from side to side as I backed into a corner. I continued shaking my head, wordless horror written all over my face.
Then they plunged the needle into my arm.
"Alice! Alice!" my mother's voice brought me back to the present.
As my vision cleared, I saw my mother looking at me with a concerned face.
"Honey, was that another… vision?" Her voice dropped low and she whispered the last word.
"I'm okay Mum, honestly," I said, noticing my dad's glare from the corner of my eye.
"You sure dear?"
I nodded and continued eating my dinner.
Later that night, I couldn't fall asleep. Sick of tossing and turning in my bed, I got up to get a glass of water.
As I walked to the kitchen, I heard hushed arguing coming from my parents' room.
I pressed my ear to the cold wood, thirst forgotten, and listened hard.
"It's the only way!" That was my dad's voice.
"I don't want her to! Do you have any idea what they could do to her there?" My mother argued back. She sounded close to tears.
"I know what they do there. That's why she needs to go there!" my father said, a note of finality ringing in his voice.
I backed away from the door in fear. I had heard enough.
A/N: Please don't ask why it's so short, I promise the rest will be longer, just that it's exam period here, and not much time to write. So just hang on for like, another week, and the chapters will be longer, I swear(; Review pretty please?
