TotalAlias, the second version of 'What is that noise?' will be coming out soon, and thanks for the idea.
I do not own Hetalia, and the line that inspired this fanfic is a joke from my family.
On with the story!
America and England were on their way home from the market. The young colony bounced around the wagon, ignoring the Empire's attempts to make him sit still.
England sighed and huffed, twitching the reigns in his hands.
Wrestling Alfred into the seat next to him and hog-tying the eight year old seemed more appealing to him every year. Now, if only he could catch the kid without Alfred jumping off the wagon and simply running all the way home….
Eventually they came across a small field where herds were grazing. The fields meant to Arthur that they would soon be home, as the farmers who raised the livestock had decided to live away from the bustle of town.
Arthur was rather surprised when Alfred settled in next to him on the front bench.
The young colony had an intent gaze upon the horizon, his face serious, his brow furrowed. Arthur gave him a few moments, and then asked, "What are you thinking about?"
"Oh, nothing important."
"Come on, you can tell me."
"It's nothing, really. It's stupid."
"Alfred, nothing is stupid. You can tell me anything."
"Oh, I was just wondering what…." Mumble. Alfred blushed, and averted his gaze from Arthur, intently focusing on the floorboards.
"Sorry boy, I didn't catch that. Speak up."
"I was wondering whatthecowswerethinking." Alfred rushed the words out of his mouth.
The wagon continued rolling on to the home that the Empire shared with his Colony.
