A/N: It takes place a couple of weeks after the Expo incident.
"You complained I never stopped by anymore." Pepper said as she made her way inside Tony's workshop. She was dressed in a tight skirt, a white shirt and a black jacket.
Tony's head snapped up from his current project and his lips curled into a small smile.
"Good evening, Miss Potts." Tony greeted her softly, standing up to properly show her how much he had missed her.
Pepper held up a hand.
"Tony, you're all covered in grease and god knows what else."
He was taken aback by that and he stopped dead in his tracks.
"But… but I thought you had missed me."
Pepper nodded and walked over to him. She pushed him in his chair and looked over at the scattered papers over his work bench.
"What are you working on at this hour?"
He had to admit that he was a little bit turned on by being so close to Pepper after a few tough days which consisted of repairing his damaged house.
"Missed you…" He repeated slowly, laying a hand on her hip just in front of his face.
Pepper smiled a little and laid her hand on top of his, holding it securely. She turned to look at him and found him staring at her hand lying atop of his. He seemed dazed.
"Tony?" She asked with a hidden smile.
The knowledge that she could actually render him speechless gave her an odd thrill. She placed her other hand on his cheek and made him look at her.
"I missed you, too." She admitted, gazing into his deep brown eyes.
Tony let himself gaze into her eyes for a little longer than necessary and Pepper found it quite amusing.
"What is wrong with you tonight, Tony?" Pepper asked him, already knowing the answer.
When he didn't show any signs of responding to her question, she turned and sat in his lap with her back towards him. Tony was in awe. She had never done that before and he quite liked it.
Pepper rested her head on his shoulder, feeling his arms around her. She closed her eyes and just listened to the silence that enveloped them both. After a few minutes, she felt him brush his goatee against her neck, and she shuddered, moving closer to his warm body.
"Mmm, Tony…" She whispered, feeling her hip brush against something hard. She gasped and opened her eyes, turning her head towards him and giving him a disapproving look.
"What?" Tony asked, pulling away slightly.
"This…Tony…" She said, looking down.
Tony looked at her in confusion and licked his lips.
"That's just my wrench…" He said after a few seconds.
Pepper stared at him.
"Is that how you call it?" She asked, narrowing her eyes.
Tony stared back.
"It's just a tool." He answered simply, moving his hand down. "Do you want to see it?"
Pepper bit her lip.
"Let me just show it to you." Tony offered, raising his hips up slightly to grab the wrench that he had forgotten of when she climbed in his lap. He brought it up and showed it to her.
Pepper burst out laughing.
"Really, Tony?" She laughed harder.
Tony stared at her, narrowing his eyes.
"What are you talking about?" He asked, dumbfounded.
Pepper just shook her head and sat up, ignoring the fact that she missed his warmth.
"Nothing." She replied simply and walked to the door. "I'll be upstairs when you finish your project."
With that said, she walked upstairs grinning.
"Jarvis, what did I do?" Tony asked, looking at the ceiling.
"Nothing, Mr. Stark." Came the prompt response.
Just a quick one-shot. I haven't had time to update my stories, but this will hopefully make you satisfied.
