Fiona's been acting weird all day. I wonder what is going on with her. It's not that going to her condo after school is out of the ordinary, it's just that she seems nervous.
"Fiona are you alright?" I ask, stopping her from unlocking the door to her condo.
"Uh, yeah. Why wouldn't I be?" she said looking away from me.
"Come on, I know you better than that. You have been acting strange all day."
"I've just wanted to be alone with you all day," she said putting her arms around my neck.
"Oh," I said, blushing uncontrollably.
"Why don't we go inside," she whispered in my ear.
She opened the door and pulled me inside by me hand. I started to walk over to the couch (our usual make-out spot) when she tugged on my hand.
"What?" I asked.
"I thought that we could go to my room instead."
"Um...I guess that would be o.k."
"Great," she said pulling me to her bedroom.
I had only been in her room a few times, but it always looked like something right out of a magazine. Though I don't think I have ever seen her room look this clean before. She was definitely up to something.
"You can sit down, Adam," she said gesturing to the bed.
"Fiona what's going on?"
"Nothing. I just thought a change in scenery would be nice," she said sitting down next to me.
"Why don't you take your jacket off, you must be hot," she said reaching for my jacket.
"I almost forgot it was on," I said getting my arm stuck whiling taking it off.
"Let me help you," Fiona said laughing.
She managed to free me, but her face suddenly became serious. She tossed my jacket onto the floor and moved closer to me.
"I want you to know that you mean the world to me. I've never felt this way about anyone else," she said playing with the collar of my shirt.
"I feel the same way about you."
"I love you, Adam."
We have been dating for three months, so saying "I love you" had become as easy as breathing, but Fiona had never said it like that before. Like it was the most important thing in the world.
"I love you too," I said cupping her cheek.
She used her hold on my collar to bring me to her lips, in a slow but deliberate manner. I could feel urgency in her kisses, something I wasn't used to. Her hands started out around my neck, but they quickly migrated south to the bottom of my shirt. My whole body froze when I felt her try to untuck my shirt.
"Fiona, wait," I said putting my hands on top of hers, to stop them.
"Adam...I just want to feel closer to you."
"I know but I just don't think I'm ready. I can barely look at my own body, I don't want you to see me like that."
"I just want to know that you trust me enough. Enough to show me."
"Of course I trust you. I just don't want you to think differently of me," I said dejectedly.
"Nothing can change the way I feel about you," she said taking my face in her hands.
"O.k." I said standing up and removing my uniform polo.
"Oh Adam," she said standing up. "Doesn't it hurt?" she said referring to the ace bandage around my chest.
"Only if I keep it on too long, it starts to get hard to breathe."
She wrapped her arms around me, in a fierce embrace.
"I'm so sorry," she mumbled into my neck.
I hugged her back, as I allowed one tear to roll down my face.
"You make all the difference for me," I said into her hair.
She pulled back from the embrace to look at me. Passion was the only emotion in her eyes. She kissed me once, before leading me back to the bed. She pushed me down and quickly got on top of me. She began to kiss me everywhere, particularly on my newly exposed skin. She was driving me crazy, I wanted to do the same for her. So I abruptly rolled us over, almost falling off the bed. She didn't stop laughing until my hands found the bottom of her polo.
"Your turn," I said kissing her again.
