AN: So this came out to 284 words, according to Word, minus the author's notes & disclaimer. It's my answer to Ladygris's Truth or Dare Challenge. Not the best thing I've ever written, but it's good considering how hard it was to write.

Disclaimer: I don't own Stargate Atlantis! Nor do I own the song mentioned!

~~Truth or Dare~~

"Major!" The voice of Lieutenant Laura Cadman broke through Lorne's thoughts.

"Yes?" He replied, looking up from his paperwork.

"Would you rather Brad Pitt or Orlando Bloom?" She asked with a straight face.

"Say what?" He asked, shocked.

"Answer the question, please, Sir."

Cadman smiled evilly, "Blind dare then."

"Oh crap." He thought as he realized what was going on.

"Your blind dare is to sing in front of the entire mess hall at karaoke night tomorrow."

"Any particular song?" He asked her, sure there was a catch.

"Yes, Sir. But I can't tell you what it is."

~~~Karaoke Night~~~
Reaching the mess hall, Lorne was greeted by the sound of Keller singing.
When she finished, Sheppard stepped up to the mic. "Thank you, Doctor Keller! I had no idea you could sing like that!" He told her, his voice echoing around the room. "Next up, we have someone who was dared to sing."
Knowing Sheppard was talking about him, Lorne began walking towards the stage.
"Personally," Sheppard continued. "I'm surprised he agreed to it. But anyway, let's welcome Major Lorne to the stage!"
As he walked up onto the stage, Sheppard asked, "So, Major, do you know what you're supposed to sing?"
"No, Sir. This is Cadman's doing."
"I know." Sheppard replied, smiling, before turning and announcing to the crowd, "And now the Major is going to sing…" He paused for effect. "'Holding Out For A Hero' by Bonnie Tyler!"
Before Lorne could object, there was no way in Hell he was going to sing that song, the music started and he was unceremoniously pushed toward the mic.
"I'll get even." He thought, already planning his revenge.
~~The End~~
AN: I couldn't decide what song he should be forced to sing, so I just randomly picked one of my favorites. There's a Lorne video to this song on Youtube. It's titled 'Major Evan Lorne- Holding Out For A Hero'.
