Four hooded figures silently treaded up Mount Ryu. From time to time they would check behind them to see if they were being followed. The new moon was perfect for their mission tonight. Summer was fast approaching and they needed to complete their objective. The reached a large cave in the mountain and ventured deep within it. They lit a couple of torches and continued. As soon as they reached the end of the deep cave a rumbling could be heard. They stopped and in the torchlight they smiled.
One of the figures stepped up and said in an elegant voice, "Awake, Dragon of Darkness, for the time has come to be free once more."
The rumbling increased and out of the darkness a pair of eyes shone red and a full set of teeth could be seen bared from within the darkness.
Shuurei awoke and sat up. She shivered from the dream she just had. She couldn't recall it, but it was strange. Just then a flash of lightning struck, she flinched and cried out. She still wasn't fond of thunder storms, as they still scared her despite what Ensei said to her a while ago.
She got up and walked out of her room. Must find Seiran or someone to help during the storm, she thought.
She found them- Seiran, her father and Ensei- looking out at the sky. She walked over to them.
She shrieked and covered her ears. They turned to look at her and Seiran went over to comfort her. He guided her to where the others stood.
"It's at the mountain. The storm, I mean," Ensei observed looking at the flashes of lightning on top of Mount Ryu.
Shouka nodded in agreement. "It's started," he mumbled to himself.
"Did you say something, Master Shouka?" Seiran asked.
"Huh? Oh, it's nothing, just that summer has started is all," he said quickly. Seiran, Ensei and Shuurei looked at each other unconvinced.
Thunder erupted, sounding like a roar, as they continued to watch the storm, but only Shouka noticed the dragon shaped form in the sky.
