Happii Day After Thanksgiving! n.n
I originally posted this on my blog as a random short holiday story, but, my FF/Blog BFF's said I should post it on here, so... yeah. :P Heheh.
He who thanks but with the lips
Thanks but in part;
The full, the true Thanksgiving
Comes from the heart.
Rima sat down on her chair in the Royal Garden. She turned to Nagihiko, who looked like he was dozing off, and asked, bluntly, "Hey, Fujisaki. What's Thanksgiving?"
Nagihiko blinked his chocolate brown orbs rapidly, trying to get them to focus and snap out of his sleepy daze. "Why do you ask?"
Rima simply shrugged. "I heard it was Thanksgiving in America today. I was just wondering what it was."
Nagihiko sighed and rubbed his eyes. "Don't you pay attention in class, Rima-chan?"
Rima glared at him. "Shut up."
Nagihiko chuckled and started to explain, "Well, Thanksgiving is a holiday when Americans celebrate family and say things they are thankful for. They also have big feasts where they eat turkey and pie and stuff... And something about Pilgrims... But I'm too tired to remember right now." Nagihiko yawned.
Rima smiled, looking amused. Raising a golden eyebrow, she asked, "Why are you so tired? Mommy working you overtime again?"
The indigo-haired boy nodded, slightly sinking in his seat, eyes half-lidded. He yawned again.
The Queen looked slightly disgusted, going back to the original topic. "So, Thanksgiving is a day where you eat all day?"
Nagihiko shook his head, his dark hair fluttering lazily. "They don't eat ALL day, Rima-chan. And I also said it's a day to be thankful."
Rima crossed her arms, looking annoyed and slightly upset. "What's there to be thankful for?" She asked, turning her gaze to her lap.
Naigihiko, suddenly, snapped completely awake and gave Rima a surprised look. "Lots of things." He stated. Rima looked back up and glared coldly at him.
"Five things I'm thankful for, or five things you're thankful for?"
"Well," Nagihiko stared at the ceiling with a thoughtful expression. "I'm thankful for my friends, family, health, and the fact that I don't have to cross-dress anymore." He turned his gaze back to Rima and smiled. "I can't tell you what you're thankful for, Rima-chan. At least try to think of something?"
Rima sighed over-exaggeratedly. "Fine. I guess I'm thankful for... my best friends, Amu and Yaya, that my parents are friends now, um... that I have somewhere to sleep at night, my dog..." Rima groaned. "That's only four."
Nagihiko chuckled. "I guess that's better than none."
Suddenly, Rima glared at Nagihiko again, making him look confused. "I just realized something, Mr. Thankful. You only said four things!" She accused, pointing at him. Nagihiko sweat-dropped.
"Fine." Nagihiko grinned and scooted closer to Rima. "You want to know what else I'm thankful for, Rima-chan?" He asked, getting closer to Rima, making her blush.
Nagihiko gently cupped her chin with his hand and stared into her golden eyes, deeply. Rima gazed back into his, cheeks bright pink, suddenly liking this position.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOH Nagi. Can you BE any smoother? XD
I hope you all had a very Happii Thanksgiving! n.n
