Romance in Mute

The clicking sound of another empty cup being placed on the sink echoed in the kitchen. Even though she didn't want to, Hermione decided to call it a night, leaving the pile of work until tomorrow. It really hadn't seemed so much back in the office when she had packed the stack of papers and folders in four bags that still weighed a lot, even after performing a levitating spell..

Stifling a yawn, she started off to the bedroom, but Draco intercepted her in the small hall outside the dining room. He put his hands lightly on her hips and leaned down to catch her lips in a sweet and longing kiss that left her giddy and a bit breathless.

"What was that for?" she asked curiously, sliding her arms around his neck.

He smiled with that cocky, crocked smile she loved so much, practically undoing her right there and then.

"What?" Hermione asked again, curling her lips up with his. Draco really had the most infectious smile she had ever seen.

Silently, he brought her closer to him, brushing his nose against hers before wiggling his eyebrows to the ceiling. He was pointing at the mistletoe over her head.

"Mmmm," she said in observance. "What should we do then?" Hermione asked cheekily.

Draco just shrugged, still not saying a word.

"Kneazle has eaten your tongue, huh?"

He smiled, pushing a lock of her hair behind her ear. His hand tingled against the soft skin of her neck.

"Well, then..." Hermione whispered seductively before kissing her boyfriend again.

A/N: Thanks for reading and don't forget to review! However, I'm gonna brace myself from what's probably coming: I don't think I'll write a sequel or another chapter of this story. I'm already very very busy and will stay that way for the next three of four months (at the very least), so I don't want to promise something I won't be able to do :( Sorry!
