The Daily Prophet, 12 June 1988: Severus Prince Named Potions Academy Fellow

Experimental Potions Master and Inventor of the Wolfsbane, Severus Prince, has been named Potions Academy Fellow for his work on a Cruciatus Cure potion, which heals damaged nerves from exposure to extended Cruciatus curses. This is especially useful for victims of dark magic attacks by various would-be dark lords. Extended exposure to the Cruciatus usually strips away all sense of identity, and turns the victims insane. Master Prince has also developed a spell (taxing, but useful when a potion is not available) that has the same soothing effect on the nerves in the brain, preventing overstimulation and thus saving the victim from certain insanity. The potion is one of profound healing, restoring and replacing, in some cases, damaged nerve endings. This problem is thankfully not widespread, but Master Prince had personal reasons for pursuing such a potion.
