Jade was watching a video at the RV when Beck came in. She had moved in with Beck about six months ago. About a week ago Vega started trying to come between them… not physically but Tori would instigate Jade and make Jade seem like the bad one. In a desperate attempt to get Jade to be nice to Tori Beck told Jade that they couldn't physically be together until she was nice to Tori. Beck came in and sat down next to Jade turning off the movie.

"Babe," he said, "Why don't you just make up with Tori already? I miss us being together"

The sparks in Jade's eyes were like fireworks on the 4th of July. He could tell that Jade was about to explode and he was right. It would be frightening.

"Why don't I just make up with Tori already," she repeated, "Do you really want to know?"

"Um… sure," he said

"Fine. If you want to know then I will tell you. Oh I will tell you if you want to know.

"The reason I don't just make up with Tori already," her volume was already starting to increase, "is because I'M NOT THE ONE STARTING WITH TORI!"

"What do you mean," Beck asked.

"WHAT I MEAN IS THAT TORI IS THE ONE THAT IS INSTIGATING. SHE'S BEEN STARTING WITH ME FROM THE BEGINNING. IT'S DAMN UNFAIR TOO BECAUSE I SHOULDN'T BE PUNISHED BECAUSE SHE STARTS WITH ME-"

Beck looked at Jade and her eyes told him that she was telling the truth. Beck could always tell when Jade was telling the truth and when she was lying by her eyes. He felt a mixture of several emotions. He was shocked. He was furious with Tori and he was feeling really guilty too.

"Jade," he said, "Babe I wish you would have told me"

"Would you have believed it," she said, "I mean Tori seemed all sweet and innocent"

"Yes so does a skunk until it releases its toxic poison," Beck said, "I can always tell when you're telling the truth and when you're lying. Your eyes give it away. GOD Jade I am so sorry that I assumed… I mean… I should have seen it in your eyes"

She sighed as he pulled her into his lap and wrapped his arms around her.

"The past can't be changed," she said, "And it doesn't matter anymore-"

"It does matter," he said, "I'm going to have some severe words with Tori. I also need you to promise me that you will tell me in the future when something like this happens. I mean it Jade."

Jade promised and Beck saw the angry fireworks disappear. Instead he saw other fireworks. She was ready for the firework explosion. That night the fireworks were inside them. Beck was frightened of how the fireworks would go off the next day when he confronted Tori but for now he and Jade enjoyed their own private fireworks show. Tomorrow would be a story for another day.
