title: lost without you.
summary: he's grown to love her too much.
author's note: ughh. this is so bad for one of my favv couples, but i needed to pop this out really fast. lovee you all. :D
Good night, sleep tight,
Don't let the bedbugs bite.
he tries to get her back, but he's forgotten how the fairy tales go, how the rhymes sing.
he smiles at her, his wide smile turning up at the corners, but his attempts are shattered.
she's grown immune, he's grown to love her too much.
once upon a time, he lied her down to sleep, kissing her tiny lips and whispering against them.
"goodnight, sleep tight. don't let the bed bugs bite."
she giggles, bringing him down to her so they lay against each other in a perfect symphony.
this is what he misses, being with her. because without her, he forgets how to breathe.
she kisses him goodbye, her sunglasses pushed up her nose and her smile bright cherry red and he tries to steal her back, to put her in his pocket and never let her leave, but she's gone.
he whispers to himself, "goodnight, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite."
he cannot fall asleep without her.
and the part that hurts is that it's all his fault.
