1. Smile

"Liiiiiiz!" Liz sighed softly to herself as she heard her terribly annoying apprentice burst into the den.

"What is your problem today?" she asked, looking down at the sobbing girl.

"I-I saw, I saw…"

"Spit it out!"

"I saw Ciel and Sebastian, and they were laughing and smiling together, and then Sebastian kissed Ciel! MY Ciel!"

Oh boy, here we go. "Lizzy."

Lizzy looked up at Liz with big, round eyes and sniffed. "Y-Yes?"

"Tell me what you love most about Ciel."

Lizzy thought for a moment. "I love Ciel's smile the most."

"And what do you think makes Ciel smile? Be honest."

Lizzy bit her lip, and Liz knew she was getting somewhere. "He smiles the most around Sebastian."

"That's right. Now which would you rather have—Ciel, and have him not smile when he's around you and be a grumpy cat, or would you rather have Ciel and Sebastian be together and see Ciel smile and laugh, and overall treat you better?"

Lizzy hung her head. "I…I guess have Ciel and Sebastian be together. If it makes Ciel happy…"

Liz smiled gently and patted Lizzy's head. "That's my apprentice."

2. Left Behind

"Alois." The blonde boy didn't even turn when he was addressed; he didn't bother to look Ciel in the eye.

"Go away."

"Alois, you have to eat, drink, get up, or at least do something!"

"No I don't."

"You're going to kill yourself!"

"And why do you care?"

"Have you bothered to look at yourself lately?" Turning slightly on his side, Alois noticed what Ciel seemed to be talking about. There was a slight rounding to his stomach, and it gave Alois just enough clues to what Ciel was talking about.

"Claude," he murmured slightly to himself. "You did leave something behind for me…"

3. Midnight's song

"I wonder, what song will we sing tonight?" Grell asked Will as they both sat on a small hill.

Will tilted his head in curiosity. "I'm not sure. Do you have any idea?"

Grell thought for a minute, resting his head on his paws. "Well, there is one…"

"What is it?"

"The midnight song. It's that one that our regiment only did once, before we went to fight the bear."

"That one? I remember it. You start tonight."

Nodding, Grell stood up, lifting his head and pointing it at the moon. Parting his jaws, he let out a low howl, tilting his head back as Will joined him in their howling. From far off in the distance, they could hear voices join their song. After a while, they lowered their heads, and listened as the howling died down.

"I think that's the best song we've ever done."

4. A ring to remember

"Ugh, Sebastian," Ciel muttered, tugging at the blindfold around his eyes. "When are you going to take this thing off of me?"

"In just a second," Sebastian replied, leading Ciel through the forest. "Almost there…stop." He instructed, holding out a hand in front of Ciel. "Now you can take it off."

Ciel took off the annoying blindfold and he looked around. They were standing in a large meadow of sorts, one that Ciel had never been to before. "Sebastian…where are we?"

Sebastian smiled. "Oh, it's just a little place I found when I had some free time. Anyway, I have to ask you something important."

"What is it?" Ciel asked, a bit impatient. He had an entire army to get back to, of course. Why he couldn't just stand around and waste time…

Ciel's eyes widened slightly as Sebastian kneeled down, holding a ring in one of his hands. "Ciel Phantomhive," Sebastian said solemnly. "Will you marry me?"

For a moment, it seemed as though Ciel's heart stopped beating. But, when he finally collected himself, he smiled and flung himself into Sebastian's arms.

"Yes, yes I will!"

5. The Undertaker's Boy
The Undertaker sighed lightly as he heard a familiar wail coming from the newly built nursery, and he got to his feet, stretching. "And just when I was starting to relax," he muttered to himself, moving over to the crib and picking up the wailing child.

"It's alright," he cooed gently to the child, and he buried his face in his "mother's" shirt. "I'm here." The Undertaker kept Garrison in his grip until his sobs eventually quieted to low whimpers. "You just want me with you all the time, don't you?"

Looking up at the Undertaker with wide blue-green eyes, he blinked slightly and yawned. "Good, you're tired. Maybe I can get you back to sleep…" Sitting down in the rocking chair that he had put in the room, he slowly rocked back and forth, watching as Garrison's sleepy eyes slowly started to close. He could feel the child's breathing slow down, and he smiled.

"Sleep well, my little one."

6. The Exchange

Claude stared in awe and amazement at the tiny balls of fur curled up next to Alois, all sleeping peacefully.

"Alois…" he murmured, tail swishing from side to side. "They're beautiful."

Alois smiled gently and purred, nodding to each one as he told Claude their names. "The little blonde one with the black spots is Francis, the blonde one is Felicity, and the little black one is Claudandus."

Claude smiled wide at the little ones, leaning his head down to get a closer look. "Oh, Alois…I feel so terrible for leaving you."

"Don't be Claude. It's alright, really." Alois nuzzled Claude, and then pushed Francis over to him. "I want you to raise Francis. I have a piece of you with me, and I want you to have a piece of me with you, too."

If Claude was going to say something, he stopped. Tears threatened to spill over, so he just kept quiet. Smiling, he nuzzled Francis, who squeaked and moved towards his warmth.

"Thank you, Alois.

7. Grell's Wish

Grell smiled down at the two puppies sleeping at his side. "Aww, Will, aren't they just darling? The boy looks just like you," he woofed, nosing the little brown and black lab-looking puppy he had named Xavier. His larger sister, Gretchen, squeaked at their "mother's" nose and sniffed up at her, then sneezed and lied back down.

Will smiled gently at the pups. "They are adorable." He nuzzled Grell, tail wagging. Tilting his head to the side, he sighed. "This…this is what you wanted, right Grell?"

"Of course," Grell replied, lying his head down. "This…is everything I ever wanted, and everything I need."

More to find than can ever be found
