If she could be given one thing, be granted just one wish for her wedding, then it would be to see her father again because she wanted so desperately for him to walk her down the aisle. However, she didn't know if she'd ever get her heart's desire because she hadn't seen her father since her school field trip at the museum.

But even when all the odds were very much against it, even with everyone telling her there was no chance it could ever happen, her mother included, Alba hoped and planned her wedding as though her father would be there to walk her down the aisle. In fact she did more than hoped, she believed her father would come one last time. So she planned accordingly by having a tux ready for him to put on when he arrived.

So the day of the wedding finally came, the music was playing, and the wedding party was slowly making their way down the aisle. Alba wasn't watching any of that because she was looking around, hoping against hope that her father would make an appearance at the very last second before it was time to start down the aisle.

In lieu of her father, Alba had agreed to allow her stepfather, for her mother had indeed finally remarried, to walk her down the aisle even if it wasn't in line with her heart's desire. So it was Joe's hand she felt on her arm when the time neared, and it was with a sad smile she accepted his hand. The first notes of the wedding march could be heard, and they turned together to start the walk when a familiar voice spoke.

"Alba, I'm here sweetheart. I'm a little late but I'm here."

She turned and immediately enveloped her father in her arms. "Daddy!"

Joe smiled, and stepped inside explaining that the father of the bride had arrived and would be escorting her inside instead. So the music began once more, and with a brilliant smile that said to the world Alba had known her wish would come true, she stepped inside on her father's arm.
