When Hermione woke up that morning she didn't have a clue. As she got ready to go to her parents with Harry, her best friend of fifteen years, two of which he became her boyfriend, he arrived. Her smile lit up as she saw him. He'd never get tired of that smile.

Harry gave her a quick peck on the lips and asked, "Almost ready?"

"Just about," She replied as she walked down the hallway.

Two miutes later she was ready, and grabbed Harry's arm and they left to go to her parents house. Harry was nervous and Hermione noticed.

"Are you alright Harry?" She asked concerned

Hary sprang from his thoughts, "Yeah I'm fine."

Hermione didn't seem convinced, but didn't press the subject. The rest of the car ride was quiet with a comfortable silence, each in their own thoughts.

Once gifts were inside and hello's were said everyone sat down for brunch then gifts. Hermione was watching Harry the whole morning after the conversation, and she knew something was up.

"Harry can I talk to you in private?"
"Sure Hermione." They walked out to the back poarch, "What do you want to talk about?"

This time Hermione was nervous, "Is everything alright between us? You've been really quiet and it seems like something's bothering you. I know the Weasley's wanted us to come over. Do you want to leave?"

Harry smiled and pulled her into his arrms and gave her a searing kiss. "Everything seems great to me. I know how much you love spending time with your family. I'd never ask you to leave. Besides.." He kissed her again, "There's nowhere else I'd rather be than with here you. I love you." He kissed her again to clear any doubt from her mind. Things started to get a little more passionate than intended when Hermione stopped them.

"We should stop, my parents inside an- and..." She surpressed a moan when Harry started kissing down her neck. "Harry we need to get back inside, we have gifts, and it'd be bad if they caught out here doing things."

That got Harry's attention, "Things?" He chuckled and kissed her again.

"Don't start something you can't finish Mr. Potter."

"Who says I can't finish," He whisphered and kissed her one last time before going in.

Once all the gifts were opened Harry glanced at Jack, Hermione's dad, who nodded. "Hermione, we've been dating for awhile and have been friends for much longer. You've been through everything and haven't ran off when most people would have. I love how loyal, trusting, and couragous you are. There's no one who I'd rather spend the rest of my life with," He pulled out a little black box and opened it, "Will you marry me?"

She was speechless. Harry was getting nervous until she smiled.

"Yes I will."

Harry smiled and placed the ring on her finger, and kissed her. Once the kiss was over she had a better look at the ring. It was to small emeralds on both sides of a saphire, or so she thought.

As if reading her mind Harrry said, "It's a blue diamond. It was my mother's. I hope you like it.

Hermione smiled, "I love it, Harry."

When Hermione woke up that morning she didn't have a clue. Now she knows her future, no matter where it may lead, is with Harry.
