Author's Note: Yeah, yeah, last day, I KNOW. I freaked out yesterday when I was going to sleep because I haven't written this; I actually woke my sister up (she wasn't completely asleep yet) and asked her if January had 31 days. So yeah, I went crazy.

New Year's Night

"Change of plans, Em!" I yelled to my girlfriend as I stepped through the threshold of my apartment and dropped my keys and coat on a small table.

We'd been dating since Thanksgiving and things were going pretty well.

Neither of us expected the attraction we felt one normal day while at a spa; we both thought we were completely heterosexual but, something things are inevitable. One moment you're enjoying a massage with your friend and on the other you forget about the turkey you're cooking because your lips are attached to your friend's.

"What?" I heard her voice ask. She quickly appeared at the top of the stairs wearing an extra big FBI shirt and a pair of sweats.

"You remember I told you that we'd be celebrating New Year on our own?" I asked while I made my way to the couch and sat down.

"Yeah, you thought it was a good idea since we already spent Christmas with the team" Emily said ad took a seat next to me.

"Well, not anymore. Penelope called me and asked, well, demanded that you, Henry, and I attended to her little party tonight. The guys are going"

Emily nodded with a smile "Sure. It'll be fun. Where is the party?"

"She told me that it was a surprise" I answered and pulled a piece of paper out of her jeans' pocket, "I just have the address"

"We better get ready then" she said and I was about to reply when a small cry came from Henry's room.

"Let's check on the little boy first" I told her and we stood up and climbed the stairs.

"Yes! My lovely gals are here!" Garcia exclaimed as she spotted us and Henry walking towards her and the team, "And my little Prince Henry is here too!".

"Ant Pelope!" my boy managed to say and moved his small feet as fast as he could to reach his godmother.

"Henry!" another child's voice was heard from behind Hotch's leg and Jack ran to his friend.

We laughed while they watched the two kids ran in circles, trying to catch each other.

"Well, shall we begin with our party?" Rossi suggested and went sat down on the grass. Garcia had arranged a small night picnic in a huge green field where you could believe you could actually touch the stars.

Reid quickly followed him and soon they were all sitting cross-legged, some on a blanket and some on the grass. They chatted, laughed, made fun of Reid and Rossi, and enjoyed the simple but delicious Italian dinner Garcia and Derek had cooked.

"Guys, do you have any idea what time it is?" I asked after a while.

They all shook their heads and before they could reach their phones, a tune was heard.

"'Cause baby you're a firework, come and show them what you're worth, make them go oh, o-" Garcia quickly turned the alarm off and grinned.

"It only could be you, baby girl" Morgan said and the team chuckled.

"Of course! Now, that was the one minute before midnight alarm, so grab your champagne people and give the kids some wate- forget it, they're asleep"

We all rushed to fill our glasses with the alcohol and the countdown started.

"10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1! HAPPY NEW YEAR!" and I leaned forward to met Emily's lips just as the first fireworks, lit up by Morgan and Hotch, exploded above us.
