My inspiration from this was how cold it is here. Really random. Also, I did NOT make up the idea that Beck likes Full House and board games! For the board games, credit goes to aloxi in her story You Name Like The Pope. It's a bunch of awesome Beck/Jade drabbles, you should really read it.
Jade practically lives in his RV.
He actually wouldn't mind it if she did, but he couldn't tell her that.
They sleep in the same bed.. usually.
When it's hot, she proceeds to force him to sleep on the floor.
When it's cold, she curls up close to him, a leg thrown over his leg and an arm thrown over his chest, with a blanket on top of them.
And when it's not too cold or hot, she ends up shoving him off the bed.
She says she's dreaming when she does that.
On weekends and breaks, they watch TV, usually reruns of Full House while Jade bitches at him for liking the show.
But he knows it really doesn't bother her.
Or they play one of the many board games he's accumulated, god knows how he did.
And every once in a while, he finds one of his games looking like a dog mauled it.
It was pretty obvious why.
So, one particular night, Beck was trying to go to sleep.
In the morning, they would have school, and he hated when he dragged himself through classes like a zombie.
But Jade just wouldn't sleep.
It was cold as fuck, but she wasn't curled up, practically on top of him like she normally was when it was cold.
She was just laying in the bed, staring up at the ceiling.
"Babe, what's wrong?" he finally asked her. It was unusual for her not to sleep. She liked two things done in the dark and one of them was sleeping.
"There's nothing wrong, Becklett." she snapped.
"You love sleeping. But you're not. So there's something wrong."
She sighed and rolled onto her side to stare at him.
They stared at each other for a few minutes, but it felt like hours.
She rolled onto her stomach and spoke into her pillow. Her words were muffled, but Beck could still hear them.
"I don't want to go to school."
"I just don't."
"If you come with me to school, I'll get you two coffees."
"No.." she moaned into her pillow.
He sighed and glanced at her. She didn't have any makeup on and her hair was all messy.
"I'll surprise you tomorrow."
"It better be good." she moaned, then decided to roll over, practically on top of him.
Once again, she swung her leg over his, pulled the blanket over them, laid her head on his chest, and slept.
He hoped he wouldn't have to convince her again.
