They were in the middle of another meeting when she called, her voice thick with panic, "I can't- I've- Mamoru-"
His heart gripped in worry, "Haruka, what's wrong?" He ignored how everyone stopped talking to eavesdrop.
"I don't know how- I can't-" she sobbed.
"You don't know how to what?" he tried to not sound too annoyed.
"There's no time," she half whispered, half shrieked. He didn't know that was humanly possible.
"Haruka, you're not making sense," even in his worry, he's blatantly honest.
"There's not enough time," she tried to explain. "I've tried- I've tried everything. There's no time!"
"There's no time for what?"
She sound exasperated as she explained further, "There's no time for anything! You can't-"
It was still a series of unfinished sentences Mamoru can't make sense of and he was starting to get really annoyed. "Haruka, calm down and explain," he stated.
She took a deep ragged breath, "There's these people- people in suits, coming through the door. I don't know who they are." Her voice dropped to a whisper, "I don't know where they came from, or where they're taking me."
"I'll be right there."
"There's no time," she repeated for the fifth time.
It was infuriating that he could tell when she's crying and that he can't do anything about it.
"Haruka, we'll find you," he swore, "I will find you."
"Please," she begged. "Please save me."
They didn't need to strain their ears to hear Haruka's scream.
Notes: Haruka is 19 and is living together with Mamoru. They may or may not have been married, Mamoru refuses to tell anyone. Sigh. Possesive swordmaster.
Anyways, Happy Valentine's Day everyone! =)
