Sam was amazed.

The day was so bright and beautiful, despite the chill to the air that made him shiver under his many layers of clothes. Sam always wore many layers. As did Dean.

"Dude, today is awesome," Dean said, rubbing his hands together to keep them warm. "Isn't it, Sammy?"

Sam nodded, looking over the field of tall grass under the cloudless blue sky. He climbed onto the hood of the Impala, felt at home with his brother by his side.

"It is, Dean," he said. "It really is."
