I know Draco wasn't evil, just read the 6th book and you can see it.

Draco couldn't believe his father. To have promised him as a Death Eater already, it was outragous! But all Draco could do was agree to become a Death Eater by the next year at Hogwarts, and to have to kill Dumbledor. He didn't like Dumbledor but Draco didn't know if he could kill the old man. He didn't want to be a Death Eater, he just wanted to be a teenager.

Draco sighed after thinking that. As a Malfoy he could never be a normal teenager. He was born into one of the highest families of the time. And one of the last pureblood families. Well the last that didn't have most of its members locked away. Or was full of blood traitors.

Seeing the blood traitors, he sometimes wished to have their lives. Watching the Weasley's he knew it wasn't always easy, but if he was one of them he could be himself. No Malfoy arrogance, no Slytherin masks.

Draco scoffed. Although he had grown up with the arrogance and masks, Draco knew it was better to be a Malfoy then one of the blood traitor Weasle's. As a Malfoy he had looks, and power. He had a lot to live up to. But he could handle it.

Draco would do as his father asked, he would take the Dark Mark. And after taking the mark he would do anything the Dark Lord asked of him. He would be one of the best Death Eaters, just like his father and Aunt Bellatrix. He would rise through the ranks. Draco would gain power, he would become the best. Nothing less for one of the Malfoys.

As a Malfoy he was strong. He was powerful. As a Malfoy Draco had everything he could ever want, power, glory, money, a good name. But was that everything in life?

As a Malfoy Draco couldn't make his own choice's.

At least, not yet.

A/N I know the whole story is short, but it was just a thought that popped into my head. I had to get it written down. I don't know if I'm the only one who thinks like this, but frankly, I don't care.
