This is a little Songfic-type thing I wrote about "The Fay Incident" from dakkadakka87's story "Destructions End". It is a Star Fox variation of "New York Minute" by the Eagles. My dad and I LOVE the Eagles, so if this offends them, I am sorry and wouldn't mind getting rid of it. Please let me know if I should remove it. I do not own any rights to this song as far as I know. I am only writing this as a songfic because I already know any actual stories I make will be suckish, since the last one I made was for a project in the 8th grade, and it sounded like a children's story. Almost like the kind with pictures. So I decided to start making songfics and poems, since I am actually pretty good at those. Half the reason I am doing this is to become a beta reader, which is something I KNOW I could be good at. You don't have to be a good WRITER to be a good beta reader. I am one of those people. I would recommend you hear the original song from anywhere you can before you read this, so you can get an understanding of how it should sound. Enjoy and please review!

Note: Line breaks are where the tune changes between a chorus and a verse. Except for this first one here.

Janus got up,
Ran out to Fay,
Pulled her out of her chair
And ran away.
He threw her down,
And said "Come here, Babe."
Now she'll never be quite as happy as before.

Then a cheetah ran up
And fought off the hound,
And then he picked her up
Right off of the ground.
She cried in his shoulder as she thought of
What had just happened
Knowing she will never be the same as before.

Chorus 1:
In the CDF Minute,
Everything can change.
In the CDF Minute,
It can get pretty strange.
In the CDF Minute,
Everything can change.
In the CDF Minute.

At three in the mornin'
Jacob heard a knock.
He opened his door
To see Fay still in shock.
Then he saw the tears in her eyes
As she said "Can we talk?"
And he knew she wasn't herself anymore.

He let her in
And they sat on the bed.
They had a little chat
About the feelings she had.
She knew he was her best friend's mate,
But she knew she had to do it,
Or she wouldn't be quite the same anymore.

In the CDF Minute,
Everything can change.
In the CDF Minute,
It can get pretty strange.
In the CDF Minute,
Everything can change.
In the CDF Minute.

Chorus 2:
She'd tried to fight off
that demented hound,
But she'd failed and lost her innocence
right there on the ground.
Then Jacob had saved her
and given her his shirt.
And she loved, but couldn't have him, she knew.

The very next mornin',
Jacob got out of bed,
then realized Fay wasn't there
and that she'd already left.
He talked with his girlfriend,
during which Fay confessed.
Now at least there's a chance
that she'll be herself forever more.

In the CDF Minute,
Everything can change.
In the CDF Minute,
It can get pretty strange.
In the CDF Minute,
Everything can change.
In the CDF Minute.

In the CDF Minute,
Everything can change.
In the CDF Minute,
It can get pretty strange.
In the CDF Minute,
Everything can change.
In the CDF Minute.
(music stops)
In the CDF Minute.
