"What am I going to do!' I couldn't believe how calm everyone was. The Twins were just a few days old and there had already been ten assignation attempts. The only people to have the jeans of all Night and Day ever born. Which fit the prophecy perfectly. The prophecy says that female twin hybrids that are born on Halloween will unit all Night and Day people, shape shifters, witches, vampires, angels, and humans. Yes I said angels, it's the closest word we can think to describe them. They have wings but aren't from any religion. Angels usually have long hair and appear human most of the time, like all people of Night do. There wings are the only reason they are called angels, but you can never really tell if they are or not. Almost all of what humans think of Night people are just myths.
"Your going to bind all their jeans but their human ones. Then we are going to give them to a human family, they have to be separated though. I will take Isabella to one couple and Alice to another. We need to give them new names. Just until there sixteenth birthday but they wont know it. We will have their brother Quinn live with my brother Josh. Since Quinn is only one Josh will teach him, and make sure he knows everything he needs to know." Tears poured from my eyes when I realized something.
"You've thought about this haven't you." It hurt to think I would have to be away from my girls. He looked back at me with watery eyes. He nodded not trusting his voice. All I could do was nod back, and cast the spell. When it was done Alex Hart, my friend since birth and the leader of the vampire hunters, took Isabella, Quinn, and Alice to put the plan in motion. He is big on treaties and wants everyone to get along, but there are a lot of people Night and Day that don't like treaties. His one year old half shape shifter son Matthew, will take over when he's ready. I paced for hours until my cell phone rang and made me jump. It was a text from Alex.
That was it. My kids were gone. I started pacing again, there was a fight going on out there and I was sitting here! At least my kids were safe. My husband Liam and I were the only ones in the house when we heard a swish of air and ducked, when we stood back up we saw a polished wooden stake in the wall. I knew who's it was before he even spoke.
"Well if it isn't King Liam and Queen Elizabeth. Where are your daughters?" I hate Simon I really hate him. I hissed the words as I spoke.
"Like hell I would ever tell you, you bastered!" His frown turned into a mocking smile. Did I mention I hate him. He snapped his fingers and there suddenly were vampires pinning us to the ground.
"Tell me where they are or you'll never see the light of day again, or your kids!" He was angry and his smile was now a frown. I smiled, and spit at him which was hard since I was pinned to the floor.
"Go ahead. You'll never get to them. Ever.!" He smiled again, just as I saw a wooden stake driven through Liam's heart. He screamed in pain, but stopped long enough to look at me, smile, and nod before turning to dust.
"I don't have an ounce of vampire in me. I wont turn to dust, so everyone will know you killed me." He was still smiling as he spoke.
"So? What do I care, with you and King Liam gone plus your kids missing no one will dare mess with me." I felt the stake go through my back and into my heart. My vision went red as Simon walked over and bent down to be eye level.
"I will find your kids sooner or later." The last thing I did was cast a spell so I could talk to my kids in there head. I love you, and always will. Then everything went black.
