The good fight. That was what he meant. I knew what I had to do. Had to save the world from that big Christmas tree ornament of death thing. And I did.
I loved Cordy, sure, but I had to destroy it. Had to leave her, but a hero never leaves without a last reward.
I think it was a good line, don't you?
"Too bad we'll never know ... if this is a face you could learn to love."
I liked it, very smooth, sentimental, whatever.
I know they watched that tape afterward. Remembering me... strange, I never thought people like Cordy or Angel could have missed some one like me. Drunk, tacky, demon. Well, that's life for ya. You never know the important stuff until you're done.
Now I'm in Heaven, watching Angel's empire crumble and Cordy's life just begin. She went through the veil with Sirius, met his people, all that goodness.
I miss her, y'know.
I miss the old place. LA, the beginning, all of that... May not have been perfect, but it was comfortable, familiar.
Would've been nice to have a life with Cordelia, sure, but she wasn't meant for me or Angel or, hell, anyone in that dimension.
She was needed else where.
