Daphne sat in her room on her bed. She just felt her heart was ripped out of her chest. She had just seen Fred making out with a cheerleader. She hated herself for feeling like this. She then realized that Fred was not going to think of her anything else as a close friend. She went to her computer and began an e-mail to him. Then she realized, that it wouldn't mean anything to if she sent an e-mail. She had to do this in person. She walked to Fred's house. As she was nearing his house, tears began to form in her eyes. Daphne couldn't believe she was about to do this. She knocked on his door. Two seconds later, he answered.
"Daphne, are you okay? Have you been crying?" She nodded in response to both questions. "Come in here, what's the matter?" Daphne sat on the couch and looked at him.
"I can't believe I'm about to do this. Freddie, I know that I never told anyone this but I feel like I need to tell you being that it's about you." She stood up and stood in front of him. He tried to get up but she put her hand up to stop him. "Fred Jones, I've been in love with you since the day I met you. I know that I probably just ruined our friendship with that I felt like I had to tell you. Every day I hope you'll ask me out or at least kiss me or do something to show me that you love me back but I know that will never come. So I'm here to tell you that I'm not going to be chasing you anymore. I know that you're trying to take all this in and I just have one more thing to tell you. I'll never stop loving you." Fred got off the couch and went over to her. "No matter how hard I try I know that's one thing that will never change." He cupped her face with his hands. "I've never loved anyone the way I love you. I've imagined a life with you as my husband, having children, together-." She was cut off by Fred's lips on hers. She closed her eyes and melted into the kiss. She wrapped her arms around his neck and he wrapped his arms around her waist. When they broke away for air, Fred looked into Daphne's eyes.
"So still think I'm not worth chasing?" Daphne looked at him.
"You are so worth chasing." She smiled and kissed him again.
