In my dreams

Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto.
If I did, Kiba and Hinata would have babies by now.

"Hey Tenten. Want to hear something weird?"

Tenten looked at her companion and shrugged. "Sure. It's a long walk to my friend's house, anyway."

The blue-haired girl scoffed. "I don't know why you wanted to bring me to your friend's birthday party in the first place. I don't even know him," Hinata dropped her voice to a whisper. "Anyway, I had a weird dream last night."

"Hey! You met him once. Well, a glimpse of him. But that's not the point." Tenten huffed and looked thoughtful for a moment, her long finger tapping against her glossy lips. "Let me guess," the bun-haired girl turned to her friend with a serious face. "You had a wet dream."

Blushing scarlet red, Hinata almost stumbled on the pavement. Tenten had burst out laughing, tears forming at the edge of her hazel eyes. The two had had to stop walking and compose themselves again. Particularly Tenten.

"Very funny, Ten. Do you want to know what it is or not?" Hinata asked, still a little pink around the ears.

Nodding, Tenten gave a cheeky grin and thumbs up.

"Okay. In my dream, I was in my previous school's gym and a teacher was trying to teach us how to properly execute a high jump. While I was waiting for my turn, I laid on one of the extra mats for high jump."

"The thick ones that only reach your butt?"

"Hey! It's not my fault I'm short. It's genes. Science! And I'm straying away from my story," the girl cleared her throat and continued. "So I was lying down, staring at the ceiling, when I felt my hand being grabbed by someone. Not the forceful kind of grab but more like gripping a lover's hand. I'm sure you know what I mean."

Tenten tried to look away but Hinata had already seen the light blush on her face. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Uh-huh. Sure. And a certain cousin of mine didn't pop up in your head when I mentioned that."

Tenten stuck her tongue out and poked Hinata's sides. "Quit side-tracking. We're almost there."

"Fine. So this person grabs my right hand and I looked at who it was. I couldn't see his face, just a scruffy head of brown hair, but I could feel the affectionate smile etched on it. It felt familiar and soothing. Call it a gut feeling but I think he was my boyfriend. I didn't take my hand away and I smiled at him. I don't know." The two girls stopped at a black and white 2-storey house. "Call me crazy but I think I'm in love with him."

"You are crazy. Not totally, though." They walked to the front door and Tenten rang the doorbell. "There's a possibility that this person is real."

In the house, they could hear a male voice shout at them to hold on.

"I hope so. But I don't really know anybody named Kiba."

Footsteps could be heard, running down the hall.

Tenten whipped her head to look at Hinata. "Wait. Kiba? Is that dream guy's name?"

"Yeah. I called his name, right before I woke up."

You could almost see the gears turning in the brunette's head.
In that moment, the huge oak door opened and a messy-looking brunette smirked at them. You could even see his canine teeth!

"Yo! Glad you could make it, Tenten!" His eyes averted to Hinata. "And you brought a friend! Come in!"

"We will. First, I'll introduce you two. Hinata, this is Kiba. He's a family friend. Kiba, Hinata. She's my best friend and Neji's cousin." Tenten couldn't help the devilish grin on her face when Hinata's jaw dropped.

Kiba gave a lopsided grin. "Nice to meet you, Hinata."

/AN: Too much dialogue, I know. Gah. But what can you expect from a drabble?
