Title: Getting it Right
Disclaimer: Not mine.
Inspiration: Prompt was "What Kurt imagined his first kiss would be like." I stray a little bit, but... ^^
Notes: This is miniscule but yeah. XD Slight, slight spoilers that pretty much everyone knows about for Season 3.

Kurt never thought his first kiss would be with a girl. But in his room with Brittany pressed up to him, all he can think about it someone else. Something else, quite literally. But it's soft and doesn't feel not nice.

Kurt never thought his first kiss would be stolen from him. And with Karofsky pressing against his face harsh, it hurts and he can't breathe and his entire body is trembling. It's hard and feels nothing but wrong all over.

Kurt had many first kisses. He had at least eight with Finn. In the choir room after Glee Club, in the locker room a game, boldly in the middle of the halls of McKinley. Those never happened though. They were restricted to dreams and daydreams and never-happens as Finn worked his way through Rachel and then Quinn and then Santana and then Rachel again and then Quinn again. But Kurt figures it's all right because he gets Finn as a step-brother and the fist-pounds and laughter over dinner might just be better than those kisses.

Kurt only has two or three first kisses with Sam. Leaning over the partition in the showers, pressed shyly into his lips during a car ride home, boldly in the middle of the halls of McKinley. Those never happen though. They were restricted to dreams and daydreams and never-happens as Sam got tossed around between Quinn and Santana. But Kurt figures it's all right because he gets Sam getting a black-eye for him and the IM conversations they exchange fairly regularly are equal parts sweet and hilarious and might just be worth more than those kisses.

Kurt has thousands of first kisses with Blaine. But the one that far surpasses the rest is the one that's real. With Blaine touching his hand and then cupping his face and pressing in and catching him tight. And then again. And again and again and again. In between classes at Dalton, in the parking lot before heading home, in the Warblers' practice room, stolen against the tile walls of the bathrooms. Those dreams become reality everyday and all he had to do was wait through Jeremiah and Rachel and Blaine's obliviousness. But he wouldn't trade it for anything because now they trade kisses like it's nothing and hold hands and nothing could be better or worth more.

And when Blaine, after much deliberation and more than a few fights with his father, transfers from Dalton, fighting his past demons, he kisses Kurt boldly in the middle of the halls of McKinely. Each morning, each passing between classes, each afternoon and any other time he happens to have the opportunity.
