She could love him, she thinks as he once again turns down her offer for him to leave. If they had been raised together, perhaps she could even see him as an equal. He has all of their father's fierceness but none of Uther's cruelty. Arthur could, she thinks, have proven a most loyal brother. He would never have allowed Uther to disown her; or at the very least Aruthur would have followed her to the nunnery. He would have shielded her from their father's frequent rages and blows… what a pity he must be disposed of.
