Prompt #252 from tamingthemuse- Samurai
Xander always wanted to be a samurai warrior almost as much as he wanted to be a super-hero. Samurai's fluent movements always impressed him. He used to watch old samurai movies wishing that he could do that. But that was all a daydream; it would never happen.
"What are you thinking about, pet?" Spike asked. He had brought home Tom Cruise's The Last Samurai but he wasn't all that interested in it. A Tom Cruise fan he was not. However he saw Xander absorbed in it. Xander never got that absorbed into movies. Usually they didn't make it through an entire movie; they would start messing around and before they knew it the credits were rolling.
"It's….nothing, just stupid juvenile stuff," Xander said with a frown. "It doesn't seem fair that one side gets guns while the others only have swords. It should be a fair fight."
Spike's brow crinkled. "Xander, you know better than anyone there is no such thing as a fair fight. Also the samurais seem to be holding their own."
"Yeah," Xander replied and proceeded to watch Tom slice through the enemy. With a said sigh he turned it off. He couldn't watch anymore. "It's pretty cool."
"Then why did you turn it off?" Spike asked with confusion.
Xander pulled on his lip. "It's just I know I'll never be able to do that. I'm lucky I don't cut myself while eating supper."
It was Spike's turn to frown. "What the hell are you talking about? Where'd all this come from?"
"I always wanted to be able to be a samurai. It always looked so cool," Xander explained. "Samurai swords are so awesome!"
"Well why don't you learn?" Spike asked. He found it fascinating that Xander was interested in samurai. All this time he thought he was just into sci-fi crap.
Xander snorted. "Oh yeah I'll just look in the yellow pages for samurai teachers."
"No need to get snotty." Spike huffed and crossed his arms.
"I'm sorry, baby," Xander said and ran his hand through Spike's hair. His nails scratched Spike's scalp.
Spike purred in pleasure. His mind was on what his Xan-pet wanted. How could he make that happen? Then a light bulb lit up. "Talk to the watcher."
"What?" Xander asked, wondering where Giles fit into the conversation.
"The watcher, he has connections yeah? Tell him what you want and to call someone that can make it happen," Spike explained. He cozied up beside Xander.
Xander bit his lip and considered what Spike said. Giles did know a lot of people. The chance of him knowing someone that was an expert samurai was pretty good. "He does owe me for making him those ridiculous shelves. I was about ready to kill him with him constantly breathing down my neck about them."
"Well there ya go!" Spike said with a smile. "Maybe I'll learn with you. You can never have too many techniques of fighting now, can ya?"
A smile formed on Xander's lips as he became excited. "You'd do it with me?"
"I always do it with you," Spike said with a leer. He got back on track when Xander rolled his eyes at him. "Course I would. I'm not giving up my Xan-pet time."
"I don't want to give up my Spike-pet time either," Xander said and made a face. "That sounded really dumb."
Spike nodded, a disgusted look on his face. "If you love me you won't ever call me that again."
"I will never call you that again," Xander promised. "So we'll harass Giles about it tomorrow?"
"Sounds like a plan. You know how much I love annoying the watcher," Spike said with a wicked grin. "But tonight…." He pounced on Xander. The rest of the night was filled with passion.
