PROMISE FOR A BETTER TOMORROW
AN: As are most of you feeling the withdraws of Gossip Girl. I will put my own predictions into word form until the 5th season starts. This is set after the fourth season finale. Reviews are greatly appreciated. Enjoy!
Blair lifted the top rim of her hat to see the grand ship floating in the water… It was slightly intimidating for a yacht; it was the mother of three other smaller yachts that the family owned. Her eyes traveled lower to the bridge connecting the pier to the boat itself.
"Let's go." A soft voice whispered to her. She turned slightly to see Louie. Blair half smiled nodding once. Louie took the small of her back and led her to the bridge carefully as if she were the precious cargo that was being loaded onto the boat. With each step it made Blair felt weaker in the knees.
"Watch your step…" Louie warned pointing up a head at the large gap in-between the two grounds. Louie went a head of her to help her into the boat to ensure her safety. When Blair had to feet safely on the ground of the small ship she looked around; the décor was elegant yet tasteful; not too hard on the eyes.
"Blair, let me introduce you to the staff…" Louie said in his rich French accent. Blair greeted the staff one by one each bowed to her. This was something Blair wasn't used to; a large staff compared to her one man companion.
"Blair, this is Stefan he will be seeing to you personally." Louie introduced. The tall man bowed. Instead of returning the gesture Blair extended her hand for the man to take.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Stefan." Blair shook the man's hand. The man politely smiled in return.
"Thank you everyone, you are dismissed." Louie announced. Stefan swooped in quickly and picked up Blair's bags to be placed in her suite.
"I'm going to see to it that everything is ready to go. I'll be back…" He spoke softly before kissing her on the cheek and departing. Blair was left standing in the middle of the entrance. The help that was stationed at the entrance closed the heavy metal door and the boat became slightly heavier with the raising of the anchor.
"What's going on?" Blair asked the man startled by the various loud noises.
"Were preparing to go underway Miss." He said politely. Blair half nodded with an embarrassed grin plastered on her face. She felt stupid asking a question she already knew the answer to but just about everything had been throwing her off lately. Especially when she had her mind on other things…
The yacht was moving on its own accord now and Blair moved to the outside to watch the boat depart from dry land. Blair held the rail and watched the wave's crash against the side of the yacht. The smell of the salt water was swimming in her nose and her stomach began doing cartwheels. She yanked her hair with her hand and lobbed herself against the metal bar releasing the contents of her stomach losing her hat to the ocean. Her hat was the least of her worries. Louie had saw the whole thing and rushed up behind her to rub her back. When the ordeal was over Louie turned Blair to face him.
"Blair, are you alright?" He asked concerned moved the stray strands of her from her face.
"Fine. Just a little sea sick…" She lied. He half smiled at the very pale faced Blair understanding how she must be feeling.
"You'll get used to it after a while. Here, let me give you the grand tour…" He suggested trying to take her mind off of everything. Blair held out her left hand for him to take her ring reflected off the sun and shined brightly reminding her who she belonged to. She belonged to Louie. She was to become a princess. She was engaged this should be the happiest time of her life… if it was… why then did she feel like this?
Spotted: The future Princess of Monaco boarding the Prince's yacht. Careful B, it's going to be a bumpy ride…

"When I waited for you at the top of the empire state building, I waited for 3 minutes. Louie waited for you the whole night"
His own words mocked him in his sleep. He had given up so easily… He had Blair and he let her go… He felt like hitting himself. He had messed up yet again… So many things he had done wrong in the past this was right up there with them. He did it for her. For her happiness… Chuck had always been the one to put himself first why had he decided to grow a heart at the worst possible time? His choices had been the topic of conversation with himself for the last few weeks. He went over everything and couldn't manage to wrap his mind around the fact that it was really over… for good this time…
"Mr. Bass… Mr. Archibald… fasten your seat belts we will be landing soon…" A man said waking him from his not so sound slumber.
"How long was I out?" Chuck asked his friend who was sitting on the opposite side quietly looking over a copy of a yachting magazine.
"Not too long. A little over an hour…" He reassured him. Nate book marked his page and set the magazine on the empty chair beside him and fasted his seat belt. Chuck leaned into his seat and took a swig of his scotch before setting it back into the cup holder and buckling himself up.
"You were talking in your sleep…" Nate teased his lips forming a wide smirk. Chuck's cheeks filled with color at the thought of Nate knowing everything.
"I would appreciate it if you didn't mention anything that I may or may not have said…" Chuck said his tone slightly threatening.
"Understood." Nate nodded understandingly.
"Make sure your seat belts are fasted and all drinks our secure we are now beginning or descent into Paris." The pilot voiced over the loud speaker.
GG: The Bass Jet is in route to France. Is C hoping for a reunion with a certain blonde native or is he still pining for a certain brunette who must not be named… Enjoy your summer C and B.
