Puella Ribbon Signet
Sorry for taking so long with the update. Planning people's birthdays and anniversities took my breath away. Why are so many people have birthdays in July?
'Last night, at 2:45 p.m., the Tobosco's missing daughter Chiyo returned home after a 4 month disappearance. Authorities are baffled as they believed the child to be dead. When questioned, Chiyo admits she left because of a horrible prank played on her over two months ago.'
Chiyo looks directly at the camera. "It wasn't right of them to do that to me, but it I'm not better than them either. I wanted to be popular and I did become popular. Everyone knew my name…Even when I didn't want them too."
When questioned about her whereabouts, Chiyo refused to comment.
The young Chiyo Yobosco will be returning to school in a week after a few tests from the doctors…
Now to more News, there has been strange but steady climb in missing children, girls have been vanishing the most in the last ten years and the local psychologist has come in to give us his spin of things…
Kyuubey half-listened to the news program as he shuffled in the kitchen, making a bowl of ice cream and bandaging his wounds.
Chiyo… She sounded familiar. Oh well, he really didn't care. All he wanted was his bath which he had already prepared in the other room. Carrying the bowl in both hands, he limped to the bathroom.
Not at noticing the figure that quickly walked behind him.
Madoka was dazed when she woke up this morning.
So dazed she didn't notice the trail of blood from her windowsill to the floor.
Like every morning, she brushed her teeth and tied in her ribbons, noticing that her mother was not in the bathroom with this morning. Kyuubey wasn't there either, taking his morning bath in the sink. The oddest thing was the very pink sheen of the tub and the bleach right next to it. Her feet were wet so the bathroom must have been mopped recently.
The pink sheen stood out to her, an outside color on this bathroom of black and white. Madoka shook her head to push out the silly thoughts. Her imagination was running away to untold lands and if there was an accident with her mother she would have known about it, right?
The smell of pancakes, rich and fluffy caught her attention she forgot the strange suspicion that was crawling through her heart. Madoka rushed to the kitchen as her mother was walking to her room, resulting in a crash.
"Mom, you're fine!" Madoka blurted out.
Her mother looked at her curiously. "Why wouldn't I be fine? Anyway, I have some questions to ask you. Have you been letting in one of your friends in here at night because you felt sorry for them?"
Her mother sighed as she helped Madoka up and guided her to the kitchen. "I'm not sure if you're lying or not but I wouldn't blame you if you were. At least, now I know who was using up all of my expensive bubble bath and soaps. After all, you wouldn't use them since you're allergic to most of them."
As soon as they entered the kitchen, Madoka was greeted by the sight of a white hair boy slurping his bowl of cereal. He was covered in bandages and his hair was a ting pink, the same pink as the tub. When she saw the boy's red eyes look at her in an empty way, she couldn't be mistaken.
"Kyuubey! What happened to you?" Madoka moved forward and grabbed him in a half hug, nearly knocking off the small stool. Madoka heard a loud 'Aha!' from her mother.
"I found… your Friend lifting himself into our bathtub, trying to take a bath with all of those wounds on him. He seemed quite shocked that I found him and tried to sneak away which led to a long chase. Eventually, I, the super Mom, caught him but I couldn't throw him out especially I made the open wounds on him worse. Instead, I gave him a good talking to and he'll be staying with us for a while until he fesses up what really happened or where his family is. Either one would be good."
Madoka whispered to Kyuubey when her mother went by. "I thought you couldn't be seen by regular people?"
Kyuubey didn't look Madoka in the face. "Normally. My systems are a little unstable at the moment. There's nothing I can do about until I recover and that will take some time." LuRAbey would pay for this.
Her mother turned around. "It's been decided; you'll be staying in our guest room and be going to school with Madoka. I've already talked with the school and they'll allow it. Kyuubey, if that is your name, you'll get your uniform when you arrive at school."
The rest of the morning became a blur as they ate breakfast and practically shoved out of the door.
Madoka couldn't help but stare at the human Kyuubey. He had this aurora floating around him and his hair, the long, lush, white hair…. She blushed. But that pink ting…
"It's blood, Madoka or my own coloring… Get over it!" Kyuubey snarled his voice shaky. He could this read the minds of those he chosen act as a connector. The way Madoka described him, it reminded him of LuRAbey. The rat faced bastard that he would rip to shreds the next time he saw him. But of course, LuRAbey was much more descriptive so he couldn't hold Madoka for just taking notice.
LuRAbey. An unnecessary urge was building up and Kyuubey pushed it down. Kyuubey would just spend his time coming up with a great master plan to destroy LuRAbey and he wouldn't get influenced in his weak state. He didn't want to become fully ill, would he? He'll teach LuRAbey why Incubators did not don human forms often. Kyuubey was already hearing LuRAbey's screams and the relaxing sounds of a snapping neck.
Out of nowhere, Madoka pinched his cheek. "Kyuubey, you were daydreaming and blushing!" That's when Kyuubey realized he had been standing still for the last five minutes fanaticizing. He moved Madoka's hand from his face and frowned. His state was even worse than he thought.
They met up with Sayaka and Hitomi at the end of the street where Madoka introduced him to Hitomi. In the middle of that introduction, somehow he became Madoka's cousin that was a leader of a gang,
(Sayaka added that)
And was on the run from the law. A baby faced thug that was in love with a rich boy who was trying to change his ways.
(Madoka surprisingly said that.)
"And he's pregnant right! But his child might belong to the rich boy who has left the country for America with his fiancée?" Hitomi gasped as both Sayaka and Madoka whispered. Her shout caused quite a few heads to look at them.
Did this happen to anyone that tried to join their little group? Kyuubey snorted and stretched his arms to the sun. They were just teasing him.
Penelope met with them halfway but she could barely be seen with that large following of groupies and admirers hovering around her. It was like being in a mini city with the rich walking next to Penelope and the rest of them, including him, the pathetic cling-ons. Her nation eventually left them and Kyuubey had to catch his breath. The gossip and threats, the ever shifting of the social ladder, it was too much for him. He just wasn't used to becoming one with the mass consciousness of the humans. This sort of thing LuRAbey must do all the time. What was so good about it?
"Does Penelope do that a lot?" Kyuubey asked the girls and they nodded.
"Something about not experiencing this she was in school, reputation and being with the cool girls while not being cool, but is cool… It's weird. Makes me feel like we're in high school when she comes by." Sayaka laughed as she pulled Kyuubey along. "That's Penelope for you."
Madoka winked at him. "Penelope calls it a power play. She isn't really saying hi to us but proving to her slaves that she is benevolent or something. "
Humans were so weird. Even when they came from another galaxy.
The school day went by very fast and Kyuubey found himself surrounded by girls who had him strapped down. Kyuubey had vaguely paid attention as to what they called themselves as.
The YAOI fan girls association and something else redundant. They preferred to be called FANGs for some reason.
Either way, they kept on brushing his hair and feeding him sweets so he didn't feel a particular reason to leave. One of them was drawing his likeness while another was holding a dictionary to look up descriptive words for him. They also, for some strange reason, gave him a portfolio of boys in school that they believed complimented his looks and personality.
He really didn't understand what was going on but he was still hungry so what could be wrong with sticking around a little more. And then Penelope showed up and ruined everything.
Penelope knocked down the door. "Gah. I 've checked my popularity standing and I've notice that it has gone down by 22.7% thanks to a moe white haired boy. Damn it Kyuubey, I won't let my potential slaves, er, admirers, become Yaoi fan girls who care only about writing bad fan fics as a fetish. "
A girl with a Yugioh inspired hair style stepped forward. "We won't let you take the only white haired pretty boy and use him for your own. He deserves to be with the many men we will pair him up with and perhaps turn into a sexy pretty boy which will be awesome. We of the Fangs will protect our Men."
"I don't care." Penelope moved out of the way. Two other groups of girls entered the room. One group carried dolls which resembled hybrids of their favorite animals and T-shirts of I heart furries. The other girls were dressed in gothic Lolita style and carried themselves as elitists of everything anime.
The furries' leader held up a fist and yelled. "How dare you stupid fan girls call yourselves the FANGs! That's plagiarism! We have a subset in our organization called the FANGS, you jackasses. That really pisses me off. Why? Why would you idiots name yourselves that without doing the research! Give us the White haired pretty boy. We will Coplay with him and make a new creature out of him."
The gothic dressed elitists laughed at the furries which made them glare. The elitists' leader spoke. " Oh please… You furries cry plagiarism at everything. Obviously, the stupid newbies didn't know that you furries even existed. This is funny because the guys you are so passionate about don't either. Give us the White haired pretty boy. You guys don't know what you are doing and the world does not need more bad fanfiction."
The groups glanced at another as the tension in the room rose. It was soon going to be a FLAME War. Penelope sneaked in and quickly untied Kyuubey. She dragged him to the door as the three sets of girls waited for her to pull him out of the room. That would give them all reason to descend on her and slice off her hands for even touching their prize.
" I always wondered why Naruto is so popular in America. He's nothing more than a fox boy who in an abusive relationship with an ugly boy with a duck's ass. I bet the climax will be Naruto giving up his dreams of being Hokage to be with Sasuke…in death." Penelope said innocently.
Half of the elitists already agreed with her before they realized they shouldn't have in front of the furries and fan girls. The Flame War broke out and Kyuubey ran away with Penelope, not at all sure what just happened. He could still hear a few of the fragments of arguments.
'Naruto is not gay… He supposed to be with Sakura!'
'Wait… Did you say Sakura? Sakura the slut! I wash my hands of you! Everyone knows that he is supposed to be with Hinata!'
'Hinata? That weak bitch…I don't know you anymore!'
'Haku and Zabuza lives'
'Haku's a girl and she died because "Naruto" is sexist!'
'I Like Bleach better.'
Penelope brought Kyuubey to a warm café where the other girls were waiting. They were sitting in a booth near the door with coffee and cake already ordered. Homura was drinking a warm coffee as Madoka and Sayaka told Kyouko everything that happened at school today. Chiyo was even there with them. She was glad that everyone listened to her idea.
"I have Kyuubey." She grabbed Kyuubey by the collar of his uniform . "All I had to do was set the fandoms against each other. Though, I don't know what will happen tomorrow… Kyuubey, you will become my boyfriend and I your beard. It's the best set up."
Kyuubey frowned at her, his face slowly getting used to showing emotion. " I don't have any facial hair. Do I need some? A lot of the males at school didn't have any and for the age relevance of this form I suppose I shouldn't either…"
Penelope patted his shoulder while whistling a sad tune. "You poor bastard, you're so pretty and don't even know how to use it."
"So Kyuubey," Kyouko spoke up, ending the retelling of this morning that Madoka and Sayaka were doing. "I thought you couldn't be seen by regular people and how come you look human? Does this have to do with the fact you were going to be put on probation. Are you in hiding?"
Kyuubey snapped to attention. Who told them about that? Puella Magi weren't to know anything about the Incubator process. He sat down, his head was bowled and his hair covered his face.
Kyouko wasn't expecting that reaction. "Relax, we were contacted by some 09845-something Bey who said you barely made your quota. You're not on probation."
Kyuubey's fist hit the table. " So, he lied to me. He probably lied to me about all the other things he said." His rage reached its peak and he cursed under his breath for a few minutes, the girls all staring at him. When his list, a mixture of human and alien curse words ran out, Kyuubey felt strangely better and laid his head on the table.
"Kyuubey, are you okay?" Chiyo rubbed his hair in an affectionate manner.
"No. I am not. I've been re-enlightened by an old friend of mine. It was a very painful process that has hijacked my systems for a few days. I doubt that I can even make any contracts or escape home in this condition. What a stupid bastard. If he thought doing this to me would get me to help him, he's got another thing coming…"
"Do you mean another Incubator?"
"He's gone insane. He wants to save this planet. Ha! It's more than likely we'll have to go back to the old method. This particular system is more than overdue. It's so ripe. I really don't want to go back to the old method but what choice do I have. I'm a failure." Kyuubey said more than he meant to, his emotional state was really loosening him up.
Homura had to know. "What is the old method?"
Kyuubey stared Homura directly in her eyes. "The old method was to cultivate a single planet among other planets and a star. Once cultivated and harvested to its full potential, we would then fling the planet into the star. Of course, not before aligning the planets, to get maximum energy potential which we would happily absorb. Then repeat."
Kyouko stood up and slammed her hands on the table. Kyuubey winced but didn't move his head. "You mean that you have been throwing planets full of people and plants into suns, just to get the energy! And even made sure that the other planets would get destroyed with them! Why?"
"I don't really understand why humans act like that. Your lifespans are so short and can't possibly understand why we must beat entropy. A BEY lives much longer than a human. I will still be alive when your sun finally gives out. I will still be alive when a new star takes its place. I will still be alive when that process repeats itself 35 times before I reach my prime. So excuse me if I put my survival of my race over one that will die pretty soon."
"Kyuubey…"Madoka breathed out.
"Don't get so anxious. Earth is odd cases where we don't want go to the old process, just yet. However, that doesn't mean we aren't doing the old method in other places of the galaxy. Cos' we are. We would like to do it before the star dies though, so you do have time. Earth's the only planet in this solar system that has been successfully cultivated. The other planets destroyed themselves before we could begin the process. The survivors escaped and ended up here. They were thought to be wizard or magical folk to the natives of this planet."
"This particular planet has influenced many Incubators. Too many, really. There is always one or two Incubators lost. Deciding to stay on a planet and die with the natives, I find it very foolish." Kyuubey sighed. The memory of Fuhaqui came bubbling up and Kyuubey wondered if he was really destined to end up the same way.
Kyouko growled and grabbed Kyuubey from across the table by his collar. "What is wrong with you and your entire species? Is it really bad to connect with the people you are invading and deciding to live normal lives on another planet? Why can't you guys let it go or spend your time figuring how to leave the galaxy?"
"We NEED More time. More Time. More time. MORE TIME!" Kyuubey screamed at her, his eyes becoming a haunting red.
Several of the other customers turned their heads to the table and were straining their ears to understand the conversation.
"Ok that's it. No more spoilers for today. Sit down you two. Really. You are making a scene." Penelope forcibly pushed the two back to their respective seats. Kyouko huffed in her seat and Kyuubey blankly stared at a spot on the table.
"Jeez… I've seen a Fae and a fox get along better than you two." Penelope complained as she shoed a few people who were walking past their table too often. She could tell that the old lady with the stroller was a nosy one and was waiting for an excuse to go (These Kids are….)
"Now that we've eaten and chatted. Let's go a patrolling!"
