This is my first ever completed Victorious fan fiction. I hope it turned out okay. I really felt like writing a short fan fiction today, and so, I started and finished this! Enjoy! ^_^
"You like her!"
"No, Jade. I don't. We're just friends."
"Oh, really? Do people who are 'just friends' spend two hours on the phone with each other?"
"Yes. Some people do. And we were only talking about a school project."
"Yeah. Like she couldn't have figured it out by herself."
"She's out of town, visiting relatives. She missed two days of school. There's no way she could have figured it out on her own."
"Well, why did she call you? She could have called anyone else and asked about it."
The girl crossed her arms and looked away stubbornly. "Whatever."
Beck looked at her and sighed. "It seems like we've had this conversation a million times."
Jade shot him a look. "We wouldn't have to have this conversation a 'million times' if you would stop giving me reasons to think you're seeing another girl."
"Why would you think that? We've been together for two years."
There was no reply that came in answer to his question.
"Just stay away from Tori. And stop flirting with her all the time."
"I was not-"
She held up a hand. "Save it, Beck. I don't want to talk about this anymore."
He sighed. "Fine."
She turned on her heel and headed for the exit of the room.
She whirled around to look at him, frustrated. "What?" she asked, an edge to her voice.
"One day, you'll have to realize that you can't just get angry every time you assume something has happened."
She rolled her eyes, but he continued.
"Jade, I know that you have a lot of things about your past that still bother you, but please, don't take it out on everyone else."
She crossed her arms impatiently.
He began to slowly walk toward her. "Look, no matter what anyone else thinks of you, remember that I know the girl you really are."
She cocked an eyebrow, but her expression remained angry. "Oh?"
He nodded. "I know you make great plays. I know you're funny and smart. You're headstrong and determined. You didn't tell anyone except me, but you kept a blanket that you had when you were younger." He took her hands in his own. "And you might not like all of my friends, but I know you're beautiful. On the inside and out."
Jade was fighting hard to not enjoy this. She wanted to still be angry at him. But she somehow couldn't manage that. "Go on," she said.
Beck smiled. "Okay," he replied. "You like me for who I am. And I love you."
Jade finally smiled. Even though it was only a half smile that looked more like a smirk. "Really?" She sounded more amused than she did surprised.
Beck grinned, resting his forehead against hers. "I always have."
"You're the only one who even cares enough to say that stuff to me. Why is that?"
Beck shrugged. "You just mean a lot to me."
Jade finally gave him a full smile. "Thanks for caring."
