Okay, so I've had this idea in my head for months now so I think it's finally time to get it down on – computer? :S
I own any characters that you do NOT recognise. Everyone else belongs to the miracle worker C.S Lewis
Summary: Fifteen years after the battle with the White Witch Edmund finds himself falling in love. One problem though: the girl he falls in love with is extremely sick; with no known cure. Either, her body fights off this fatal sickness or she dies within months. And with Aslan willing them to go back to England – will Edmund ever get a happily ever after like Peter and Susan have with their other half's?
Fifteen years have passed since the Witch was killed today. We kings and queens were throwing a huge party to celebrate her defeat and also to remember the innocent lives that were taken before their time.
Phoenix – Peter's very heavily pregnant wife – and Susan were planning it all out. As Susan grew older she became so beautiful and graceful that she had many men banging on her door every day but when she met her husband two years ago last month she – well there's no other way to put it, Susan just fell completely in love with him. Jared was a kind and loving man and was quite gullible sometimes too – probably one of the few reasons Peter let him even near Su.
"Yes, we are."
"No, we're not."
"Yes, we are."
I looked up from the law book I was reading to see Phoenix and Peter arguing about whether or not they were going to call their baby Peter Pevensie II if it was a boy. They had been doing this ever since they knew that Phoenix carried the heir to Pete's throne inside her.
It was getting old though. It was hilarious to begin with but now it was just plain annoying. I sighed and rolled my eyes, going back to my book. It was obvious that they were just teasing each other now – I knew because they had already decided what they were going to call it. Adelia for a girl and Theon for a boy – I wasn't meant to know, I just overheard them in the library a few nights ago when they didn't know I was in there.
Me and Lucy were the only ones not married – Lucy was courting a prince form a far away country but we were getting a bit overprotective of her. But hey, Peter's the worst of us all. He just glares daggers at the poor chap when he visits every few months – it takes a month to get to Narnia from his country so he and Lucy took it in turns to visit one another.
So, basically I was the only one without someone special in my life that I wasn't bonded to by marriage or courting. I didn't mind, but I did feel a little jealous sometimes.
Yet all that changed when a little boy, no older than ten bumped into me in the castle halls.
I know it's short but that's all I've got at the moment
