Hey, everybody. I've had this pairing planned for a while and now I should be able to write about it. Let's hope it goes well. Also, this takes place after Op. ANCESTOR, so you might not quite understand if you hadn't read it.
The former evil adult ruler of the world, known as Grandfather, sat on the park bench, looking glum. It's been several days since his father, Malladus, was struck down by his grandson, Nigel. As a result, he and the family lost control of the Demon Realm. It was then that he realized maybe he was getting too old to be battling snot-nosed kids.
Ever since his father was finally defeated, no kid ever seemed scared of him when they walked by. Not that he cared much. He's lost all interest in torturing children. He doesn't even know why he began making kids miserable in the first place. Was it because of his father? Or was it because of his wife? He lost his wife sometime after he took over the world the first time, and since then, he's been feeling miserable and lonely. Maybe he'd feel a little better if he had someone to fill in her place.
"Darn snot-nosed kids." Someone mumbled. Grandfather looked to the side to find a rather chubby old woman sitting by him. "It's always them and their loud music, and running around, and their nickels."
"Tell me about it." Grandfather replied.
"I don't even want to be here, you know? My lazy daughter's making me watch my grandson, Tommy."
"Well, I'll bet he probably doesn't foil your plans for world conquest."
"Boy, wouldn't I hate that? What are you doing here, anyway?"
He sighed. "No reason. Some things happened, now I have nothing to do. And ever since my wife died, I've been all alone. Well, except for my brother-in-law, I guess."
"That's funny. My husband passed away, too. That's what he gets for bein' too drunk."
Grandfather rose an eyebrow. "Say, you look familiar. You wouldn't happen to be related to anyone named 'Hoagie Gilligan', would you?"
"Ugh. Don't remind me. He's my annoying grandson who spends all day playing with his little kiddy toys."
He smirked. "You know, that's the exact same way I feel about MY grandson!"
"Ya don't say!"
"I do! But what can you do about kids and their…annoyances."
"I guess it's just how the universe made it."
"Yep. Say, what are you doing after this?"
"I don't know. Going to play bingo, I guess."
"Mind if I join you?"
"Hmm. I'd like that."
"Great! My name's Benedict Uno Sr.!"
"I'm Lydia. So, I'll see you for bingo?"
"It's a date! First, I have to go see if my brother's doing okay." With that, the shadow demon rose from his bench and drifted away. He had a slight feeling his grandson was gonna have a new stepbrother.
Well, there's the Grandfather/Lydia fic that some people have been waiting for. I personally like Ramon/Computer better as a strange pairing, but you know. Well, see you later. I got a new game I have yet to play.
