I, James Potter, was happy, extremely happy as I walked down the hall in my brand new house. That was, I was happy until I heard quiet sobs coming from the kitchen.

Bloody hell.

I walked into the kitchen, and saw one of the most confusing scenes possible. Lily Evans Potter, my wife, was sitting on one of our stools, holding a jar of cookies.

"Uh…Lily-Flower? What's wrong?" I asked, before moving over, and ruffling my hair.

"FIFTEEN!" she wailed.

"Um, what's fifteen? Is something wrong?" I asked. The door was looking extremely appealing at the moment.

She sniffled, and I offered her my handkerchief.

"Well, there were twenty cookies in this jar…I ATE FIVE OF THEM!" She started sobbing into my handkerchief.

"Oh. Well, that's a lot of cookies," I spoke uncertainly.

"Yeah. And now I'm going to get fat."

She looked so cute, sitting on a little stool, wearing one of my old Quidditch jerseys. Her red hair was pulled into a knot, and her big, green eyes looked out at me.

"Uh, yes?" I asked, pulling at my shirt collar.

"Promise me that you won't let me eat another chocolate chip cookie."

I let out a sigh of relief.

"Yeah, sure."

"BUT JAMES!" Lily clung onto my arm. "PLEASE!"

Who would have thought that a girl could want cookies so badly? She was crying, and pleading with me, and it took all my strength to refuse her a cookie.

"Please James,' she sniffled. 'Just one cookie. For me."

"Bloody hell, Lily! Stop this endearing act, you know that I adore you," I sighed exasperatedly.

She giggled, and looked up at me shyly.

"You adore me?"

I looked at her, stunned. "Yeah, of course. I always have."

"Then…You won't mind giving me a cookie?"

"NO, LILY! Do you want to be fat?" I made the word fat stand out on purpose, hoping it would get her to stop.

It did.

She sat down on the floor, and started sobbing.

"Lily-Flower, what's wrong? This isn't about a cookie. What's the real problem?"

She cried even harder, tears running down her face, her lips pouting out.

"James…I'm so sorry…"

My heart beat even faster. What was going on? Was she going to leave me? Had she cheated on me? With Snivellus?

"Lily. What the bloody hell is up?"

She gasped and said in a shaky voice, "James…I'm pregnant."

I'm pretty sure I looked like I had been hit by a Bludger, for I remember staring at her with my mouth open.

"I'm sorry, James! I'm so, so, so, sorry!"

I looked at her, and then picked her up, and spun her around, before kissing her straight on the lips.

"Why on earth are you sorry, Lily-Flower? This is wonderful news!" I sung out, before twirling her in my arms again. She giggled.

"So you're really not angry at me?" she asked, her eyes shining.

"Never." I kissed her again, before burying my face in her hair.

"I love you."

"I love you too, Lily-Flower."

"Can I have a cookie now?"

AN: Well, that's it. I thought that it was cute, did you? Review!
