Coffeehouse Angel One Shots

Malcolm and Katrina

Malcolm walked up to me and I felt like melting. He was just so handsome.

He grabbed my hands and I smiled.

Then I woke up.

Elizabeth, my best friend and roommate, woke me up.

I sighed and sat up sleepily.

"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed," she muttered.

I just looked at her and got out of bed. I went to the closet.

"No, wait right there, girlfriend! You're going to wear," she paused to get something, "this." She held it up.

It was a pretty black blouse with details embedded on the sleeve and collar. The pants were jeans, dark colored. They probably went as long as the end of my ankle.

"Wear it. Now." She glared at me.

Elizabeth always has a way of getting what she wants. There's no point in arguing with her.

I sighed and grabbed the clothes. Then I went to the restroom.

After I changed Elizabeth grabbed two sweaters and dragged me to her car.

When we arrived at school, Vincent joined Elizabeth and I.

They were unusually giddy today.

"Katrina?" Vincent asked.

"Yeah?" I looked at him.

"Elizabeth and I have something to show you after school," he smiled shyly. "just go to Elizabeth's car, okay?"

"Okay then." This made me giddy the whole school day.

I went to Elizabeth's car right after school. Elizabeth and Vincent arrived a few seconds later.

"Get in the car, lady," Elizabeth told me.

I went in the backseat of the car as Elizabeth started driving with Vincent in the passenger seat.

We arrived at a park I didn't recognize.

I looked at them and jumped out of the car.

Vincent came out and came up behind me. He covered my eyes.

"Katrina, I'll let go when we get there, okay?"

He guided me as Elizabeth, or I think, guided Vincent and I. I just got dragged.

I was getting impatient. I had no clue of what it could be. Who knew what it could be?

I just kept my eyes closed. This was like a person proposing to me, but his friends were helping him to make it a surprise.

Don't ask.

We came to an abrupt stop. I struggled but Vincent was big. He kept me stable. I was getting VERY impatient.

Vincent finally told me to sit down, so I sat down. I felt the cold grass beneath my legs. He still had my eyes covered. I put a hand on Vincent's hand, where it was on my face.

"Katrina, be patient," he told me.

I couldn't be.

After a few more seconds, Vincent slowly let go. I looked around and found a beauty that was unexplainable, unexpected. A beauty that I longed for so long. That beauty can only be remarked as "angelic."

"Malcolm," I whispered.

He smiled at me as he met my eyes.

"Katrina," he whispered back.

Vincent and Elizabeth served as waiters. Or waitresses. Whatever.

"What would this mademoiselle like today?" Elizabeth asked me.

I blushed and shrugged.

"Okay. That's a very good choice, considering that all we have is sandwiches and coke." she laughed and went to help Vincent with the sandwiches.

I went on the other side and sat next to Malcolm. I rested my head on his shoulder and sighed. My eyes were on the sky.

Malcolm tucked a stray hair behind my ear and smiled. He looked down.

"Malcolm?" I asked.

"Did you ever get your promotion?"

He smiled and kissed me.

The last time he kissed me, we were at the solstice festival. It felt very… electric.

Oh whatever.

I smiled and pulled away.

"Is that a yes?" I whispered.

"But why…"

"I'm mortal now." he looked down.

"It's because of you! Thank you." he looked at me.

I blushed. Then there was silence. We both looked at the stars.

"Katrina?" Malcolm broke the silence.

"Mhm?" I was just wondering what he was going to say.

"I think… I think I love you." he smiled shyly.

"I love you too." I blushed again.

What a perfect night!
