The Aang and Katara Thing

Disclaimers: I don't own Avatar: the Last Airbender or the characters.

"We should stop for the night," Katara said yawning. It was at least two years since the war had ended.

"Katara's right," said Sokka. "It's getting dark. We need to make camp."

"How about over there," asked Aang. "In that clearing?

And with that they landed in a clearing near a small village. They set up camp and made a fire. Everyone had their own tent. After everyone went to sleep Aang had trouble sleeping.

She's over there right now in her own tent, Sokka and the others are in their tents. Now would be the perfect time to talk to her. Aang thought pacing in his tent.

Aang peeked outside his tent. Katara's light was on. Aang walked over to her tent and called in a whisper, "Katara are you awake?"

"Yeah, come on in," Katara said.

Aang walked in and said, "Hey Katara."

"What do you need Aang"

"Katara I…"

"What is it Aang"

"Katara I…" This time Aang was cut off by Katara's lips. Aang broke the kiss and Katara smiled.

"Aang I love you and I know you love me," Katara said blushing. "And I always have."

Aang said "I came here to tell you because I couldn't sleep. And I was wondering if I could hang out in here."

"That's fine with me," Katara said and motioned for him to come lie down next to her.

Aang walked over and laid down next to her. Katara rested her head on his chest. Aang had started to get a six pack. They laid there and talked until they eventually fell asleep.
