"What's the silliest thing you've ever done?" whispered a soft voice.

A person above the first hummed thoughtfully, "I've never really done anything 'silly'... Father wouldn't allow it."

Startled emerald eyes looked up to meet calm gray ones. "You haven't ever done anything silly?"

Draco shook his head, blond hair swaying gently, "No, I can't say I have."

Harry pulled away from his lover of only a couple months. Smiling mischievously, the small boy took his wand out of his pocket. His counterpart stood also, eyeing the wand.

Before the Slytherin could react, Harry muttered a spell. Bright pink glitter shot out from the tip and hit Draco directly in the face.

Spitting the stuff out of his mouth, Draco glared at Harry. But when he saw the others' face, his expression eased. Harry was giggling, doubled over and his eyes alight with humor. Hair that had grown a lot over the past year fluttered against his cheeks. Draco had never seen something so beautiful.

Draco smirked, "You asked for it now."

Swiftly drawing his wand from his sleeve, the taller boy aimed it at Harry and murmured his own spell. Glitter, too, shot out of his wand, though this was a dark green color.

Harry's snickers didn't seize when the sparkles hit his chest; instead he fired glitter back.

And they played like that for an hour. Glitter clouded the classroom they were in, making it hard to see. Laughter echoed throughout the room as random colors floated all about - red, purple, orange, blue, silver, gold, yellow. Tears of joy spilled from their eyes as they gasped for breath between the mirthful tittering. Sometimes they would pause and steal sweet kisses from each other before going back to their war.

Finally, they collapsed on the floor, leaning into each other for support and clutching their sides. After a few minutes, their chuckles died down. Draco wrapped his arms around Harry, holding him tightly against his chest.

Draco pressed a tender kiss to the Griffindors temple. "Thank you for that, that's one of the funnest - probably the funnest, actually - thing I've ever done."

Harry snuggled into the warmth of his boyfriend, and smiled up at him, "There will be many more moments like that."

They both liked that thought very much.

Later, when they entered the Great Hall for dinner, questions erupted as to why they were both covered in multicolor sparkles.
