SLAM! That was it. I was left alone in the guest room at the Burrow and he, my husband, was gone. It all happened so fast, we were fighting, I said I hated him and he had to leave and then he listened. He left and didn't look back. I laid against the wall and slid down on the floor. I had my head between my knees and began crying my eyes out.

I told him about the baby, the wonderful life I had in me and…He was angry. Why? We created life, a beautiful piece of life, and he was mad? I asked him what was wrong and he said that he ruined me, and the baby. He told me he couldn't do this to me and he had to leave. I tried to convince him that he was wrong and that a baby would be wonderful. He raised his voice to a yell and shouted that I didn't understand and a lot of stuff about how his kind don't usually breed. I did the same and began to shout that I didn't care and that our baby would be perfect. He kept persisting about how I was ruined and he made a grave mistake in marrying me. The hormones kicked in and I screamed I hated him and wanted him to leave. He looked at me with those gorgeous blue eyes, that I wish our child would have, and said, in a whisper, fine. He left and that was it. He was gone, forever.

KNOCK, KNOCK. I stared at the door where the sound came from. Was it Remus, coming back? I looked at it for a moment and then said, in a barely audible voice, "Come in…"

The door flew open and in came Molly Weasley, my second mom. She looked down at me and asked in that motherly voice I needed right now, "Tonks, what happened?"

I opened my mouth, but no words came out of my mouth. Instead, the tears began flooding down my face. She crouched down next to me and wrapped me in her arms. She was whispering in my ear, "Shhhhh….Everything is going to be fine…You are okay." She began rocking me lightly and rubbed my hair. Ever since my mother went into hiding with my dad, she took me in as a daughter.

The tears slowly stopped and I finally got the courage to say, "I'm pregnant and he left me…"

She stared at me, puzzled beyond belief. She took a deep breath and said, "You're pregnant? Wow…And he…I'm going to kill him."

I smiled a little at her last statement but I wasn't happy. I wiped the left over tears from my face and laid on her chest. "I'm sorry for waking you up."

She grinned at me and said, "Honey, you didn't wake me up. With this war going on, I haven't slept in days. And speaking of sleep, you need some. Pregnancy knocks the wind out of you and causes you a whole mix of emotions."

I laughed; it felt good to laugh again. She helped me up and tucked me into bed like I was four again. She placed the blanket over me and lightly kissed my forehead. "Nymphadora, I'm always here for you if you need a mom. Sleep off the past and wake up starting a new future."

I smiled and felt my eyes slowly drooping. I closed my eyes and heard the door shut. She was right, I'd have to forget the past, for me and the baby. I placed my hands on my stomach and fell fast asleep.
