I own nothing...
He seemed to come out of no where. Girls were already talking about him by second period. Quinn didn't really bother to listen. She was done with boys. After Beth she wanted nothing more then to start over. She broke up with Puck because he reminded her of Beth. She didn't want any reminders of the hardest time of her life. Quinn was back to being head cheerleader, getting good grades, so she didn't have time to bother with some new boy. Although he was supposed to be very cute, and on the football team. Just because she was done with boys doesn't mean she couldn't have a boyfriend. They were pretty handy. They carried your books for you, bought you nice gifts, and would do anything you asked. Quinn sighed.
"He's coming," Finn assured the group. The Glee Club was waiting on a guy who Finn said a really good voice and was interested in joining. It couldn't be the new guy Quinn had heard so much about, he would be "too cool" for Glee.
"Sorry I'm late," A male voice said and Quinn looked up. Of course it would end up being the new guy. Yep the rumors were true. He was very good looking. Blond hair, blue eyes, and built. He actually looked kind of familiar. "Hey Finn," He said and Finn and Sam knocked knuckles.
"Glad you could make it," Mr. Schue said. He smiled and then it dropped when his gaze fell upon Quinn. He raised and eyebrow.
"Quinn Fabray." He said slowly. Quinn sat up straighter. How did he know her?
"Yes?" Quinn said not knowing what else to say. He shook his head.
"Figures you wouldn't remember me," He said, "Although you did make my life hell for about five years." Oh my god.
"Sammy?" Quinn said her jaw dropping.
"Don't you mean Smelly?" Sam said his lips forming a smirk. He turned to Mr. Schue, "Sorry I can't join, its a too bit crowded in here."
"Wait..." Finn started to say but Sam cut him off.
"See you tonight Legs," Sam said to Brittney who grinned and bit her lip. Sam winked which made all the girls blush and then left the room. All heads turned to Quinn.
"How do you know him?" Mercedes asked.
"You know how I am mean to Rachel?" Quinn said and the class nodded except Rachel who frowned at the comment, "Multiply that times ten and that was how I acted to Sam."
"Wow," Kurt said.
"I am going out with him tomorrow," Santana informed everyone.
"Isn't he going out with Brittney?" Rachel asked.
"Well, Brittney today, me tomorrow, and I am pretty sure his schedule is booked for the next two weeks," Santana said, "The guy has game."
"Bet you are feeling kind of dumb," Mercedes said to Quinn who could only nod. That was Sammy Evans? The dork who hung out by himself? Mostly cause Quinn scared people away but still. The guy was a total dweeb. Wasn't he?
"Great," Finn said with a sigh, "I thought we might be able to get at least one new member. He was really good, could play the guitar too."
"Yeah thanks Quinn," Santana said sarcastically.
"Hey lay off her!" Puck said coming to Quinn's defense.
"I don't need you to defend me," Quinn told her ex, "Look I am sorry I was mean to Sam seven years ago. How was I supposed to know I would see him again?"
"Shouldn't this just be a lesson that we need to be kind to everyone?" Mr. Schue said getting the classes attention, "You never know when it will come back to haunt you."
Q&S
Quinn sat next to Kurt and Mercedes that day at lunch. The Cheerio table had been taken over by Sam. He was sitting on the table with girls surrounding him all trying to get his attention. Sam caught her staring at him and he winked. Quinn turned away quickly angry that he had caught her. The bell rang and Sam got up Santana on one arm Brittney on the other. She couldn't explain the feeling she was having. Was it shame at what she had done? Embarrassment at the fact that the boy she had tormented turned into that?
After last year all Quinn wanted to do was focus on herself and not get involved with unnecessary drama, but she felt herself getting sucked back in. The most troubling thing of all was the feeling she got in her stomach when he winked at her that can only be described as butterflies.
"Coming Quinn?" Kurt said breaking Quinn out of her thoughts.
"Yeah," Quinn said getting up. As she walked Quinn felt eyes on her. Boys were checking her out, girls looking at her with envy. Quinn passed Sam. He didn't even seem to notice her. Sam was playing with the hair of the girl in front of him.
"I don't think you should go down that road Quinn," Kurt advised.
"What road?" Quinn asked trying to sound innocent.
"Don't act innocent," Kurt said, "You were mean to him years ago, and now when he isn't giving you the time of day you will stop at nothing to get his attention."
"Not true," Quinn said keeping her head high, "I am not doing anything." As she walked around the corner she allowed herself one last look at Sam. He still was not looking at her. Quinn felt like stomping her foot. Great now she was feeling like she was seven years old. What was little Sammy Evans doing to her?
Truthfully she had always thought he was cute. Like a puppy. His mouth was huge, but Quinn always thought Sam had nice lips. It got her thinking about kissing him as soon as she found out what kissing was. Still, he wasn't that smart, and always seemed to be in his own world. Quinn found out later the reason he didn't get good grades was because Sam was dyslexic, but the kids still called him dumb. Sam loved comic books probably because they were mostly pictures and didn't have many words. Perfect for someone who has trouble reading. It wasn't cool to like someone like Sam Evans and Quinn wanted more then anything to be cool, so she played along. Before she knew it Quinn was his number one tormenter, and she had always been ruthless.
Mr. Schue was right, the past can come back to haunt you. This time it was in the form of her secret crush, who now hated her guts. Great way to start the year.
Its short but what do you think?
Should I continue?
