I own nothing…
"What?" Sam asked Quinn who was staring at him.
"You really never had a girlfriend before have you?" Quinn asked and then went on before he could answer, "And Santana does not count." Sam was more Santana's puppet then a boyfriend.
"No," Sam said as they stood awkwardly outside the school, "Only meaningless flings."
"Just hold my hand, Sam," Quinn said putting her hand out. Sam smiled in that goofy way of his and took her hand.
"Now, we walk," Quinn said and Sam narrowed his eyes at her. Sam let go of her hand and threw an arm around her shoulders.
"How's this?" Sam said as Quinn wrapped her arm around his waist.
"I think you are getting the hang of it," Quinn said grinning. Sam kissed her head and the two walked into the school.
Q&S
For not being a boyfriend before Sam was getting really good at it. In private they had always acted like a couple, so the transition to a public relationship wasn't all that difficult. So instead of ignoring her when they passed in the hall they were walking hand in hand. Instead of sitting far away at lunch Quinn was sitting on his lap. There was one thing he did that drove her absolutely crazy. Sam would whisper in her ear and send shivers down her spine. Everyone was happy for them, well almost everyone.
"Finn?" Rachel said coming up to the tall boy as he watched New Directions laughing together at lunch. Quinn was on Sam's lap and he stole a bite of her apple.
"Hey Rachel," Finn said.
"Why are you over here?" Rachel asked knowing very well why he was.
"I didn't think they would do it," Finn said not looking at her, "I thought they would break up and maybe Quinn and I…" Rachel cut him off.
"Don't go there Finn," Rachel said as kindly as she could, "Sam and Quinn are happy, don't mess that up. If you really love Quinn you would want her to be happy more than anything." Finn nodded and Rachel put her hand on his arm for a moment before walking over to join the rest of them. A minute later Finn followed her. When he sat down he caught Quinn's eye. She nodded once and turned her attention back to Sam.
Q&S
"I never thought boys cared so much about being Prom King," Quinn said to Sam as she hung their posters up. They said Sam and Quinn for Prom King and Queen.
"The 10 year old kid inside me wants to be Prom King. I want to show Lucas and all those others who bullied me who I am now," Sam said handing her another poster, "Besides you want to be Prom Queen just as bad."
"It has been a lifelong dream," Quinn said, "And I think we have a good chance. Lauren said she was going to run, but it turned out she was just trying to freak me out."
"Did it work?" Sam said with a grin. Quinn glared at him. It had worked alright. She was freaking out for like ten minutes before Lauren finally admitted the truth.
"She said she originally going to run, but didn't because apparently you have made me a nicer person," Quinn said, "Which I found odd considering how mean you were to me."
"Just a little payback, love." Sam said smiling and Quinn slapped his arm.
"You promised no more of this so called payback," Quinn said taping up another poster.
"I remember," Sam said taking Quinn's hand as they walked to another blank wall, "No more pranking you, only pranking Finn from now on."
"Good," Quinn said and kissed Sam quickly.
Q&S
All the Glee Girls were at Quinn's house to dress for Prom together, even Rachel. Sam had told Quinn to include her so she did. Things had been going really well for Quinn. They won their Regionals and Quinn was going to the Prom with Sam. And soon she would be voted Prom Queen, but more important than that, Sam being voted Prom King.
"Thinking about the crown?" Santana asked.
"Yes," Quinn admitted, "I really hope Sam wins."
"Really?" Santana said mildly shocked.
"It means a lot to him, he wants to show everyone he isn't "Smelly" anymore." Quinn told her.
"I can see that," Santana said, "Well he has all our votes, so do you." Santana smirked, "You know tonight could be a very special night for you, more than winning a crown."
"What do you mean?" Quinn asked.
"Think about it," Santana said walking away to talk to Brittney.
Q&S
Quinn smiled at Sam as she made her grand entrance down the stairs. His jaw was practically on the ground. Her mom and Sam's mom took picture after picture of the two. One thing they agreed on was the fact that Sam's hair was way too long. Sam rolled his eyes. Quinn liked it long.
"You look amazing, sorry about my Mom," Sam said as they walked out to the limo they were sharing with Santana (who Sam was also taking as a date), Rachel, Jesse, Puck, and Lauren. "She wanted to make sure she got pictures of me before she had to run off. My family is visiting my Mom's sister this weekend. I was going to go, but it turned out to be the same weekend as my Prom."
"So your parents and siblings are gone for the weekend?" Quinn asked.
"Yeah," Sam replied, "Wow, look at the limo!" Sam grabbed Quinn's hand and ran over to it.
Q&S
And who do you think you are?
Runnin' round leaving scars
Collecting your jar of hearts
Quinn had always loved this song, but she never really realized how sad it was. Her arms were around Sam and her head resting on his chest. A part of her felt like she should have been the one singing it instead of Rachel. This is how Quinn and Sam could have ended up. Sam, not admitting what he felt would still be having his series of flings. While Quinn would get angrier and angrier so when Sam finally did man up, she wouldn't take him back. She held him tighter as if to make sure he was real.
And tearing love apart
You're gonna catch a cold
From the ice inside your soul
So don't come back for me
Don't come back at all
"Are you crying?" Sam asked when the song was over and they broke apart.
"No, it is just a really sad song," Quinn said and Sam smiled. He grabbed her hand and his breath caught as Figgins made his way to the stage. Quinn had to stop herself from laughing, he was so nervous. He wanted the crown more than she did, which Quinn had thought was impossible.
"…and the Prom King is Sam Evans!" Sam grinned and turned to Quinn kissing her square on the lips before making his way onto the stage and the crown was put on his head.
"…Queen is…Kurt Hummel." Everything was silent. Quinn gasped and put her hand to her mouth. Rachel and Santana came up next to her. They watched as Kurt stood there shocked and was about to leave when Sam jumped off the stage and caught up with him before he could.
"Come on Kurt," Sam said and led him up to the stage. Sam took the mike and began to speak, "Hello, It is your Prom King here, and I just wanted to thank you for voting for Kurt. It seems that you have all agreed that Kurt, like I always believed, is royalty." Sam looked at Kurt who touched at his friend's words, "Kurt is one of the bravest and most courageous people I have ever known, and you did the right thing in making sure he was honored tonight." Quinn's eyes were watering, and so were Rachel's and Santana's. Santana had looped her arm through Quinn's, and Quinn was holding Rachel's hand. Finn came up next to Rachel, and soon the rest of New Directions stood together watching the stage.
"You know what?" Sam said looking at Kurt," Why don't you wear this…" Sam took the crown off his head and placed it on Kurt's. "It isn't the right shape for my head, and I will wear this." Sam took the tiara and put it on his own head. "Does it suit me ladies?" Sam said with the goofy smile that made the girls hearts melt.
"We love you Sam!" The girls cried and Sam laughed.
"I love you too," Sam said and then turned to Kurt, "Anything to say Kurt?" Sam handed him the mike.
"Only this…" Kurt said, "Eat your heart out Kate Middleton!" The room cheered.
"Ready to dance?" Sam said and Kurt had never felt more accepted in that moment. Sure someone had played a horrible prank on him, but that didn't matter. Kurt didn't care. He had great friends who would do anything for him, as he would for them. Sam threw an arm around Kurt's shoulders and led him to the floor. Santana and Mercedes began to sing Dancing Queen and Sam and Kurt began to dance. Sam, tiara still on his head, began doing his Bieber dance and the group of girls behind him looked like they were going to faint. Kurt, not as a talented dancer as Sam, was holding his own dancing silly and not caring what anyone else thought. Kurt's boyfriend Blaine cut in, and Quinn walked over and began to dance with Sam. He took the tiara off his head and placed on Quinn's head.
"There, perfect." Sam said and Quinn grinned.
Q&S
"So I already told your mother that you are staying at my house tonight," Santana said to Quinn as they stood outside the school. Prom had been amazing, and it was sad that it had to end. "And I slipped something into your purse."
"Sam doesn't have sex," Quinn whispered leaning close to her, "You should know that better than anyone."
"Sam doesn't want a baby," Santana said, "Just be safe and everything will be fine. Trust me; this is my one area of expertise." Quinn only nodded. Sam made his way over to her just as Santana walked away.
"What were you two talking about?" Sam asked.
"She asked me to spend the night at her house so we could talk about Prom," Quinn lied, "Already talked to my Mom about it apparently."
"Oh, I was actually hoping you could stay at my house," Sam said talking a little faster than normal, "It will just be me, and don't tell anyone, but I am a little afraid of the dark." Quinn laughed.
"Sure, let me just go tell her," Quinn said and walked over to Santana.
"He asked me to stay over, but only because he didn't want to be alone in his house," Quinn told her.
"I'm sure that's it," Santana said with a smirk.
Q&S
She had only been to Sam's house once, and that was just a dinner to meet his family. They had always gone to her house for their secret meetings. She was a one child one parent family, and he had both parents and two siblings. It was less likely they would be caught at her house. Unfortunately Sam's family had remembered her, but if Sam had forgiven her so could they. His family was so welcoming and warm, nothing like her own family. Sam had the best Mom and his siblings were so cute. His Dad always seemed to have a smile on his face, while Russell always had a frown.
"Let me get you something to wear so you don't have to sleep in your dress," Sam and then went upstairs. Quinn bit her lip. How could he be so damn calm! It was prom night and you were alone with your girlfriend for the entire night. If he asks if she wants to watch Avatar she might punch him. Sam appeared still wearing his tux undershirt, but had changing into a pair of shorts. He handed Quinn a faded Spiderman shirt and boxers.
"Thanks," Quinn said and began to unzip her dress. Sam blushed and turned around. Quinn rolled her eyes. "You have seen me without a shirt, and remember my hot tub? Turn around." Sam faced her and she let the dress drop down and pulled on the shirt and shorts.
"Are you tired?" Sam asked. It was about one in the morning and Quinn never felt more wide awake. Quinn shook her head.
"Are you?" Quinn asked walking closer to him.
"No, I'm not…" Sam words were cut off by Quinn kissing him. Sam forgot his words and kissed back. Sam sat down on the couch so Quinn was facing him on his lap. Quinn gasped and broke away. Sam was blushing like mad. He tried to push her away, but Quinn stood her ground.
"Do you love me?" Quinn asked.
"More than anything," Sam replied.
"Drunk on wine coolers with Puck should not have been my first time," Quinn said, "This should have been."
"Are we really going to?" Sam said. A part of him had hoped it would be, but the last time Quinn had sex she got pregnant. Quinn smiled and moved his long hair out of his face.
"Yeah we are, but on a bed, not a couch," Quinn told him.
Quinn had no idea you could still manage to kiss someone while carrying them up the stairs, but somehow Sam did. Ever since Beth Quinn had felt her body was broken. The first time Sam had seen her like this seemed like a lifetime ago, but that might have been the moment Quinn knew without a doubt she loved him.
Sam hands began to roam under her shirt and Quinn knew he was a second away from trying to take it off.
"No," Quinn said removing his hand.
"You don't have to worry," Sam said, "I am not going to try and sleep with you. My shirt is off, let's just make it even."
"It's not that," Quinn said refusing to look at him, "My body is…it's ruined alright? When you see me you will probably run for the door and tell everyone at school how gross I am." Sam just moved her arms and pulled her shirt up revealing her stomach. Sam stared at her for a while before he spoke
"You're beautiful, just like you always have been. Even when we were nine and you were making my life hell, I always thought you were the most beautiful thing I had ever seen" Sam said and kissed her stomach all the way up to her lips.
Which was what he was doing right now, and when he did finally reach her lips they kissed like they knew they didn't have to hold back. It wasn't her first time, but in a way it was. Quinn had had sex, but she had never made love before. That was what Sam was doing, he was making love to her, and she never felt anything like it.
Q&S
"Was I alright?" Sam asked after. Quinn however was still unable to speak, when she did finally find her words she said,
"Yes, from what Santana tells me you were more than alright." Sam grinned.
"Why do I have the feeling that this was all Santana's idea?" Sam said.
"I think she has been planning this since the beginning of the year," Quinn said rolling over and leaning on her elbow. "Was it worth breaking your vow?"
"It was never a vow," Sam said grabbing her so she rolled on top of him, "I guess I was just waiting for you." Quinn smiled and kissed him.
Around a year later…
"Look I love you, but this is the kind of thing you bring Santana or Rachel too," Sam said to Quinn who was in the dressing room trying to pick out a dress to wear to graduation.
"Don't you want me to look nice?" Quinn asked.
"That is a trick question I am not going to answer," Sam replied and Quinn laughed. "I need to find a sports store before I start wearing a dress myself."
"Fine I will come back tomorrow with more easy going company." Quinn said and opened the door dressed in her regular clothes. Sam took her hand and they walked out into the mall. They stopped at jersey store.
"I will just be a second I want to see…" Sam trailed off and he was gone. Quinn sighed and waited outside. Every time she went into a place like that some guy tried to hit on her. It was safer here.
"Quinn Fabray?" A male voice behind her said. Quinn turned around. A good looking boy with brown hair and brown eyes came up to her.
"Do I know you?" Quinn asked politely.
"Lucas Sanders," Lucas said, "We went to elementary school together." She remembered him. Besides herself, he was the one that tormented Sam the most. Quinn had done because she was scared and secretly in love, Lucas had just been a jerk.
"Oh now I remember, so how are you?" Quinn asked not knowing what else to say.
"Great," Lucas said and then eyed her up and down, "You look fantastic."
"Thank you," Quinn said and hoped Lucas would leave before Sam came out.
"I totally know what you can get me for my birthday now," Sam said as he came out of the store. "Who is this?" Sam said noticing Lucas.
"Lucas Sanders, we went to elementary school together." She turned to Lucas, "You remember Sam right?"
"Smelly?" Lucas said his eyes wide. Sam smirked. He now had a foot on the guy, was more built, and twice as attractive. Peter Parker had become Spiderman, while everyone else had stayed mortal.
"I just go by Sam now," Sam said keeping his cool, "Ready to go, Quinn?"
"Sure, Honey," Quinn said, "Nice to see you."
"Wait you are going out with him?" Lucas couldn't help but say.
"Why wouldn't I want to go out with the star quarterback who can sing and play the guitar?" Quinn said innocently, "And those lips we used to make fun of? They are like magic." Sam put his arm around her and they walked away.
Well that is the end. What did you think? There was no rumors, just like there was no Lucy.
