I wrote this after watching David Tennent's last episode. It's how I wish his encounter with Rose would have gone. It's kind of sloppy, I wrote it in a hurry. It's my first and most likely only Doctor who fic.
I don't own any of the characters.
Please Review if you would.
"Well, happy New year." Rose Tyler bade the drunken stranger before turning to enter the building.
"Ah, so what year is this, exactly?"
She turned back at the man's question"Blimey, how much have you had?" she wondered with a laugh, she'd been quite plotted herself before but never enough to forget the date. "It's 2005" she slowly replied "January the first."
"2005." The stranger echoed. Rose nodded hugging her body against the chill of the snowy night air.
"Well," he said " I think you are going to have a great year." Rose felt the warmth of hope and joy rise in her hearing the strange man's prediction of her future. Logically she thought, how could he know what was to come for her, but something about him made her believe. "You think?" She asked.
"Yeah, I do."
Rose considered the possibilities and felt herself smile, then turned it to the man. "See ya." She said happily and again turned to go.
"Yeah" the man returned.
She jogged up to the entrance and just as she put her hand on the door she paused, then making a decision whirled back around "Hey," she called "wait up a second." feeling impulsive she ran over to the stranger. He looked at her questioningly, without a word she leaned forward and gently touched her lips to his briefly. "Happy New year." she said again to the now stunned looking man, then turned once more this time going inside.
The doctor watched as the woman he loved bounded up the stairs, knowing in both his hearts it was the last time he'd ever see her. He vowed to carry that kiss with him throughout all of time and remember the way it felt no matter how many times he would regenerate. After all this was his reward.
