~This story was made from the workings of my mind, but Twilight I do not own, as much as I wish I did. But all thoughts and ideas belong to me.~
*Bella's Point Of View*
Info you should know before reading: Bella is five years old at the moment. She is human.
I looked up to the sky deep in my own thoughts at the moment, just watching the gentle winds rustle the flowers on the ground. This was the only place I could just get away, away from all the thoughts of my family, and away from all my problems I may have. My meadow, my sweet escape.
I now closed my eyes, making myself remain completely still, and as best I could cut off my senses to just relax.
But suddenly as I felt something poke my side I growled in annoyance, looking over to snap at who ever had bothered me when I gasped at what I saw.
It was a little girl. She had the biggest brown eyes I have ever seen, and long dark brown hair. She was adorable.
I quickly sat up, looking the girl over for any signs of pain.
"Umm, hello, what's you name?" I asked, after making sure she was ok.
"I'm Isabella, but just call me Bella." The girl said with a smile.
The smile was just so cute, and innocent, it warmed my heart.
"Well Bella, my names Edward, can you tell me were you parents are, and how you got here?" I asked with a calm smile.
I watched her as she shook her head.
"I can't remember a thing…" She said looking down in fear.
Without thinking I had her in my arms, holding her close. I wasn't sure what came over me, but I didn't want to see this girl sad, not ever.
"Shh, it's going to be ok." I said to her in a soothing voice.
I watched her little body as she curled into me, not at all seeming to mind the cold, or shy away from me. She must be to young to hear what her instincts are telling her.
I slowly stood up now, making sure she wouldn't be scared, holding her close.
"I'm going to take you back home with me, and we will see if we can find you're parents, and give you a check over, just to make sure you're ok, alright?" I asked walking slowly back home.
"Ok." She said with a small smile looking up at me, and hugging herself closer.
A slight burn rose in my throat at this, but I did my best to ignore it, it wasn't the worst, but it did make things hard to concentrate on anything.
I made sure my thoughts just stayed on Bella, I didn't want to hurt her, she was so innocent, part of me was hoping that Carlisle would let us keep her, but part of me didn't. This kind of life isn't for her, she shouldn't be around us.
But I can just feel this deep connection with her, I don't know why, but this little girl seems to be more then just some random little girl.
