AN: Written for Vicky199416's Happiest moment of their life challenge.

It might be fair to say that Cho and I have known each other since we were very young children. Her family lived very close to ours and because there were virtually no other children nearby, we ended up playing together a lot.

When I went off to Hogwarts for the first time, I missed her like mad and apparently she did as well. We'd always been together and for a while it felt like a part of me was missing. I did get used to it though eventually, but I was much happier when she came to Hogwarts as well.

I remember feeling disappointed when she was sorted into Ravenclaw instead of Hufflepuff. She always was the smarter one of the two of us though, so it wasn't a surprise.

I'm procrastinating. I really shouldn't, but I am. But I'll get there.

In my sixth year, I realised that I had fallen for Cho really badly, when I was sitting in the library with her. We were doing our homework and the way my skin tingled when she touched me. Or maybe it was when we were training together and she smiled. The way her eyes lit up when she laughed and my heart threatened to burst out of my chest. Or maybe it was after she went on a date with George Samson, a Hufflepuff boy in her year.

When Yule ball was announced, I resolved to ask Cho to the dance. She'd broken up with George, who was an annoying prat and I knew that a pretty girl like her was bound to be asked by someone soon. So, feeling like my legs had turned to lead, I asked her. I think my feet must have lifted off of the ground. At least that's what it felt like. That was the third happiest moment of my life.

I know, I'm supposed to be talking about my happiest moment, right? Well be patient, it's getting there.

Cho looked beautiful in her dress robes. I could barely draw my gaze away from her. She took my hand and we walked onto the dance floor together. And has we danced, that was the second happiest moment of my life.

But the happiest moment of my life was when I walked her back to the Ravenclaw tower and after saying goodnight, she kissed me goodnight. I'm positive that I floated back to my dorm after that. That was the happiest moment of my life. I just wish that my life hadn't been cut so brutally short, because I'm going to miss Cho's smile.
